Great guesthouse in nice location in Ballsbridge area of Dublin. Located in lovely and quiet area of Dublin, The nearest dart stop is only few minutes walk away and it'll take you to city centre in 5min. Room that we stayed was very charming. Service was excellent and much more personal than you would get in big chain hotel. Great breakfast!

Very warm welcome - pot of tea on arrival before being shown to our room. Great hospitality - staff were always willing to assist in any way possible, including giving advice of places to visit, directions etc. The warmth and friendliness of staff did not feel 'put on', but genuine. We shared several laughs with the Manager, who would periodically check that we were being looked after by the staff. The breakfast menu is wonderful, a great choice of dishes, both hot ancd cold - all served in a lovely dining area with a conservatory. We wanted to stay for longer, and hope to return regularly.

The hotel had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The location is great - easy to find and ideally positioned for the Aviva stadium virtually on the doorstep. Inside the hotel is very pleasantly decorated and the feel is one of a period residence. Public areas are also very comfortable and the lounge is a really relaxing place to sit and read a paper or just chat. The place has a 'family run' feel. This was typified when one of our party arrived quite early, having had an early flight. He couldn't check in as his room wasn't yet available but he was offered a full breakfast and invited to hang around until the rest of us got there. On checking out the following day he reminded the proprietor that he'd had an extra breakfast - he was told that they would not be charging him for it. A lovely, generous touch that will have us booking again when next we visit this city of friendly, helpful folk. Nothing comes to mind - we enjoyed our stay!

We recently stayed at the Butlers Townhouse, from the moment we arrived we were stunned at the charm and beauty of this B&B. Cecilia welcomed us with tea and coffee made us feel at home and quickly had our room ready as we arrived very early in the morning. All of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The morning breakfast was top notch and yummy. No matter how busy the morning crowd was, Nelson, Oana, or Anila the wait staff were friendly and made sure you were taken care of. The breakfast was wonderful and they had plenty of choices. Stephen and Roly greeted us each evening with tea and asked about our day. Butlers was the perfect location to the Dart station and the gateway to the city. Thanks

Staying at Butlers is like staying in a luxury family home. Cecilia and staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, location is excellent, five minutes walk to the Dart station and ten minutes to shops, restaurants and pubs.

“We went to a gig in the O2 and found that using this hotel was great to get in and out of town (using the luas next to the hotel). Leaving the car in the car park for 7 euro was money well spent for piece of mind. Hotel is lovely 2nd time we have stayed here Nice rooms and the Bar served a great dinner/lunch and not badly priced. Staff also nice and hotel is easy to reach from the motorway's and you have the park just round the corner.” Martin, Galway |
