Staff were amazing. Gave us a late check out the next morning. Breakfast was fab. Overall it was great.
Toilet had problems flushing. Could do with an upgrade too.
A warm friendly welcome followed by a cup of tea and homemade bread. Excellent service in gorgeous surroundings.
We booked two rooms, one room was exactly as shown in the pictures on the website. Very comfortable and an enjoyable stay.
Second room, which cost the same as the other room, was very small almost no room to walk around the bed. Pipes were making noise all night, hard to sleep. There was no hot water in the morning. The breakfast ended up costing about €18 each the next morning, for a full Irish and tea - a charge we were not informed of until check out.
We booked Butlers Town House on short notice and they could not have been more accommodating. We booked for a week and didn't want to leave when the week was up. From the moment you set foot inside you can't help but feel a sense of warmth and yesteryear. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was included in our tariff and you be hard pressed finding a better breakfast in Dublin. We found the location very handy, not in the heart of the CBD but only a very short walk to the train station and a couple of stops and you are in the CBD. You can walk to a couple of the local pubs and Lansdowne Rd is a short walk down the road if you want to catch some rugby. To top all this off, the staff were sensational. Everything from travel tips, advice on activities or tea and scones, there was nothing they couldn't help you with. We would highly recommend Butlers Town House to anyone visiting Dublin and will be definitely staying there again when we are back in Dublin.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we wanted for nothing. We were offered tea/coffee as soon as we got in. The room was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and a big thumbs up on the shower! We ordered room service which was impeccable, we even received some delicious home made banana bread. The night porter was amazing, even making us toasted cheese sandwiches during the night! All the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful! Definitely will be staying here again.
Can't say enough good things about this place! Wonderful, friendly staff. Beautiful room, stayed in Glendalough suite. Nice quiet location near train at Landsdowne road, near Aviva Stadium. Delicious breakfast. All around perfect stay! I'll be back!
Wifi was unreliable, but that seems to be a trend in Ireland. Otherwise, nothing bad to say about this place!
Attention by the staff. New management keen to improve the property & facilities
Staff were brilliant and the room was amazing. The bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave!
The shower was a bit cold on the first 2 days but then fine. Wifi patchy on the last day.
Very nice town house with lovely typical furniture, lovely staff and Great breakfast !
No hot water when we arrived, no minibar
Location right beside Lansdowne Road stadium and ballsbridge. Train a short walk. Free parking. Beautiful location, lovely walks and relatively quiet street. Very close to town, walkable. Great character.
Rooms small and facilities nice but minimal. Example: no coffee facilities in room. A bit noisey next to road, and on a match day would be extremely busy.
Although out of the city centre, it was a walkable distance and a peaceful location. The bed was really really comfortable and the shower was nice and powerful. However, the main plus of Butler's Townhouse was the extremely friendly and helpful staff! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
The luxury style of the hotel along with the friendly and welcoming staff. They helped with a small problem we had in our room. They even offered a reduction of our bill. Great Irish breakfast and superb value for money
Location requires taxi or public transport to access city centre
Staff very friendly and good breakfast.
No tea/coffee making facilities, no toiletries, no hair dryer and no toilet tissue in room.
Very friendly front of house
The reception room-relax,tea,juice, paper, very welcoming
Sign was small so passed out house first time!
The staff couldn't do enough for us. Everything was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again.
Rona was an absolute star and made our stay very special. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times doing everything in their power to make our stay special.
The bed was not the best. Not bad enough to make a scene about, just too soft (old?). Same goes for the pillows
This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in..we received a very warm welcome from Rhona on arrival who offered us complimentary tea coffee and hot scones..she upgraded us to a superior dble room which was immaculately clean warm and very tastefully decorated..as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary she gave us a bottle of complimentary wine ..the other staff (can't recall their names) were extremely pleasant also and went out of give us an experience which we wouldnt forget and they succeeded!!!..breakfast was fab too..will definitely return soon..
Absolutely nothing..couldn't fault this hotel in any way!!
The ambience was cosy comfortable and quite grand. The tea and mince pies served by Rhona and by Sara. The unfailing courtesy and the informal chat with Sara and with Rhona. The entire staff made the stay very pleasant. Location is excellent.
Nothing to dislike.
Warm welcome, tea & mince pies, beautiful rooms
Shower is powerful but there seems to be limited hot water at peak times - part of being in an older building I suppose. Would stay again though!
Friendly, helpful, intuitive staff. Fantastic location Great breakfast. Staff were exceptional.
Honestly, there was nothing to complain about.
very friendly staff..couldnt do enough to make sure my stay was enjoyable.
A very drafty window in the en suite..
excellent night sleep in comfortable bed. clean and tidy place with friendly staff
beans with my fry would have topped of a very good breakfast
The staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem. Room very comfortable with large bathroom. Breakfast tasty with lots choice would return and recommend for stay in Dublin.
