The Hotel is 2 minutes walking from the Castle. The staff at the reception is very nice and kind. We had the room at the first floor overlooking the street: during the day there is noise of the traffic from the street instead in the night it’s more quit but if you can ask a room overlooking the garden.

Its proximity to historical places within walking distance E.G. Swiss Cottage, Cahir Castle. Good value evening meal (although didn't eat there) Free car parking Spa on site (for rainy days) Rooms could do with mini make over (a little dated but comfortable beds and room V. clean) Pity there's not much history in the hotel on its use as town house of Butlers

Central location, fantastic Chinese food down the hill, first stop light, on the right hand side, called "Yummy House". Well worth a visit. No beer, only wine or bring your own spirits in a brown bag. We did not see an elevator, access could be difficult for some as there are many levels of stairs to navigate.

The hotel was ideally situated on the small square of Cahir, with a view of the castle about 100 meters away. The breakfast was excellent, easily the best I've ever had in an Irish hotel, with many tasty and healthy choices beyond the standard cornflakes or "full Irish." Free and convenient parking is a nice plus. It's time for some new mattresses.

The catering breakfast staff and the bar staff were very friendly and happy made the atmosphere very homely. The receptionist was unbelieveably rude on arrival and not that helpful with directions upon departure.

Nice friendly staff. Good size rooms, very comfortable. Two minor drawbacks are the lack of any lifts to the upper bedroom floors, and very poor service on the TV in the bedroom, otherwise a very comfortable stay.
