Staff were so helpful and friendly.
No lifts or ground floor bedrooms, my mother's has knee problems so that would have been helpful.
Great food in the bar. Excellent value for money, with free parking and full breakfast. Lovely location in centre of cute town with a huge castle just down the steet!
my room was above the kitchens (so smell was strong...but a good smell!), and there was a fairly large ventilator that made a lot of noise.
Very friendly staff, food very good
Bathroom was very dirty and whole building very outdated
Quite informal, very friendly, good food, the Castle and Swiss Cottage close by well worth visit
Location with good town facilities and points of interest nearby. Helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Good value for money.
Bathroom poor. Smelt quite musty. Paper tissues empty. Unable to get something to eat in the hotel when I arrived just before 9.30pm.
Hotel location is a plus being within a short distance of motorway and also within town square. Staff were attentive.
It is not difficult to cook a good quality Irish breakfast with good quality sausage, black and white pudding etc. This breakfast fell a bit short. TV reception could have been better.
Beds Staff not helpful
Liked the staff the bar and restaurant.
Didn't like the bedroom they were very shabby and old fashioned.
Been there before on two other occasions but this time found a better overall quality stay. Breakfast was excellent and when I asked for more Toast it was delivered quickly.
Not much apart from the stairs.
four poster bed and friendly staff
rain pouring down the window from the building site next door
Last minute change of location. Worth it. Lovely little town with friendly people.
Helpful & friendly staff
no fridge in bedroom
Downtown Cahir location, very nice and friendly staff, very clean.
Nice room and very well maintained.
Nothing to say...
Town centre location. Room was clean. friendly helpful staff.
Bathroom was small with a shower cubicle but no bath and nowhere to put anything. There was no lift in the hotel. floor boards were very creaky. Saturday nights are noisy in hotel as it has a large events room on the ground floor. In hot weather rooms are very warm also there is only a heavy duvet on the bed.
All whas perfect. Great staff. Room perfect and clean. Food at the bar are very good. I recommande the skin potato whit lardon bacon!!! I recommande
Nothing bad. All perfect for me
Comfortable beds, location, easy parking. Gluten free toast upon request at breakfast.
a little noisy at times due to thin walls, but not bad enough to complain.
shower nigh on impossible to turn on, water tepid, room hot as radiator control broken, ie lying on floor next to radiator. We did complain to reception. It is obvious that the rooms are not checked by staff beforehand
the breakfast was not included in the price
Breakfast was excellent. Cahir Castle was 2min walk away.
Only public parking available. Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Noise from the kitchen extraction system.
Loved everything about the hotel would recommend to anyone
There is nothing to dislike
There was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and all staff were most helpful and friendly. I had requested a quiet room and this had been duly assigned overlooking the hotel garden. On checking in to my room, I found that one of the tap fixtures in the washbasin was broken but Reception immediately relocated me to another room. The food was very good. I would be happy to use/recommend this hotel again.
The room to which I was relocated was not as quiet as my original room as it overlooked a street. Ideally, the original room taps etc would have been checked out beforehand. Also, the cups and saucers for tea and coffee were a bit stained and not as clean as I would expect. However, I did enjoy my cup of tea otherwise. At breakfast, perhaps consideration could be given to providing a wholemeal brown bread option?
Location was good, parking was convenient, though difficult to get out in the morning.
No free wifi in rooms which is a must nowadays. Food in bar was average. Shower control was broken. Cost €10 more through booking.com
The Oak panelled library, the food, easy parking The great location, room and friendly helpful staff. This hotel is well located to see the Castle and Swiss cottage( both well worth visit!)There's a great Coffee House (Wild Bean) and shops nearby.Scenic river walk and fishing(permit from newsagent) Brown Trout/Salmon , good water quality. It's near other larger towns Clonmel( nice place)or Tipperary(don't bother with Tipp as ruined by out of town stores and vandalistic planning!) Glen of Aherlow and Rock of Cahel a short drive both spectacular!! Bernard and Debbie Price UK
