Could not find fault with anything can't wait for my next trip the sooner the better
Our night in the bar and dinner in front of the gas fire was so cozy. The crab claws were fantastic. & the internet worked well which is often a challenge that far away from town!
There was nothing we didn't like.
The Room was spotless and the bed was huge.
Sadly, the restaurant is only open Thursday-Sunday from October onwards. The meal, chosen from the a la carte menu, was excellent and plentyful, but eating in the bar surrownded by noisy drinkers is not quite the same as a formal restaurant setting!
Caislean Oir is a small family-run hotel located in a beautiful part of Donegal that delivers quality hospitality with a personal touch. Guest comfort is their priority. The rooms are of a good standard and the front bedrooms have a wonderful sea view.
Large room with a great view. May be a little quiet for some but just what we were looking for - overlooking an inlet, great walks. Busy hotel - childrens party was being held in the evening, so were unable to use the restaurant so ate in the bar. This was no problem at all. Food was excellent and pleased to note 3 good vegetarian choices. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
staff very friendly, very laid-back atmosphere, lovely view of bay.. Food very good. Hotel was very clean and bed very comfortable. Room had a safe and bottles of water were provided daily.
The hotel is on the roadside but we didn't expect this to be a problem as we thought it would be a quiet area. There was a steady stream of traffic even at night, plus cars parked directly under the bedroom windows, which we found aa bit annoying when trying to get to sleep
View, friendly staff and delicious breakfast and dinner
staff were great do anything for you food can't fault it. everyone talks to you it's like you stayed their all your life. going back next year with the family. lots off beaches all a round. great for just chilling out.
nothing all was fab.
Food fabulous great setting Beautiful scenery Really friendly staff
The hotel is in a great location with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very helpful.
Had a great stay, would go back again, staff were amazing. Espically Sean.
Every request we asked for was granted and with a smile. The staff were the friendliest I have encountered anywhere from the managers all along the line to the staff who cleaned served meals bar staff. Food was delicious and plentiful. Just the best.
I had to come home
A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Stayed in a spacious room with a beautiful view. One night was not enough. Great location for travelling around this part of Donegal.
I required a disabled room and nothing was a problem. Could not be more helpful.
- view/location - huge double beds (like German beds) - nice sheets - cleanliness - spacious rooms - laid back staff - room facilities - good showers - historical info on walls - picture of Donegal team - warm
- very noisy between 1am to 2am as cards were leaving. Had to leave window open as hot weather. Some car even stopped, left the engine running and beeped twice - perhaps to pick up staff - at 2:30am!!! - few sockets in room
nothing not to like . from staff being attentive to all our needs right through to food and comfort of rooms.defo be back,,,,cheers
Location and room with a view. Very clean and comfortable
view from room was superb.Staff were very friendly and informative about the best beaches in the area. Meals were great.
We had a deal which was only for one night. We would love to see booking.com do a deal for three nights b&b plus one evening meal.
This is my second stay at the hotel within three months and I will be back again, the staff, make this hotel’s unique selling point whereby nothing is too much bother and there is a genuine willingness by all staff to go beyond all reasonable expectations to make you feel welcome. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with superb choice of dishes to savour in the restaurant and a bar with various forms of entertainment from quiz nights to local musicians playing traditional Irish music. This hotel is ideal for disabled wheelchair users with all the facilities you require albeit I would recommend you contact the management before arriving as they will do everything possible to meet your needs.
The time spent there wasn't longer
A great place. The staff are very friendly, food is excellent and good value
Great location with fabulous views. Great food and bar staff. Even got a phone call to say room service breakfast was on the way. Thats a first.
The staff are so friendly and helpful--nothing is too much trouble for them. The location of the hotel is stunning and could easily be the subject of a picture postcard. The breakfast is excellent and the fresh fish is just that--delicious. The bar food is very good and the service is excellent.
There was not a thing that was bad at this friendly, well run hotel.
Amazing food and beer
The hotel and staff were very nice and accommodating. Great value on the food especially the light bites.Comfortable, clean room. Nice local pub a short walk away.
