The location was great, so close to everything but at the same time it was so quiet and peaceful that it was hard to believe I was staying in the middle of a capital city.
The only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast was overpriced and it was not economical to avail of it. I was able to get breakfast at half the price five minutes away from hotel. It makes a stay at a hotel more homely to avail of breakfast in it so I was disappointed that it was not more reasonably priced.
Great location, super staff: friendly & helpful, comfy bed, high pressure shower.
Breakfast was terrible: expensive at €15, bitter, stewed coffee and the hot food was kept tepid too long. The pillows were thin, hard and uncomfortable.
Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great location
Location is good
Understaffed ? On checking in no one to help with bags, felt staff too busy to actually make you feel welcome Needs a refurb getting tatty
- The hotel is in a really impressive building - breakfast was good
- Some of the rooms could do with a refreshing of the furniture - it is very used - parking is a bit off site
facilities a bit dated
The staff was very helpful and the location was in walking distance to the majority of all attractions.
Nothing to criticize. My stay was too short as a layover so I wish had more time.
Location and value for money!
Comfortable bed, nice receptionists, helpful Staff, good location
Room to the back, no view at all, no offer for breakfast in hotel, no additional service
Great location and helpful staff. I had called to say we'd be arriving early to see if we'd be able to leave our luggage somewhere secure. When we arrived at about 11.30, our room had been prepared as a priority so we were able to check straight in. Also liked that we were able to have our breakfast brought up to the room at no extra charge. Good WiFi connection which didn't need the code entering each time it was used.
Ease of access to city cente; 24hr parking close by for only 12 euro
great location, very central but also a quiet street. safe to walk to and from. goose down duvet a nice plus.
No water bottles in room. Parking was a bit weird, we paid ticket and it would not work so had to wait about ten minutes at barrier for a staff member to come down street to sort it out, staff were not particularly apologetic about the problem.
Location was Ideal Staff were polite, efficient an courteous Room was good and spacious, everything in room worked! Bar staff friendly and helpful Perfect as a base for visit to south side of Dublin City Center
Car Park is a bit awkward Bathroom could do with a bit of paint on ceiling above shower
Hotel in a quiet location and just a short walking distance from O'Connell Street. Breakfast was good, with a varied choice available.
At breakfast, we were not offered tea or coffee and had to ask for it. Pillows on bed were very flat and had a definite smell of cigarettes. I am not a smoker!
Location and style of hotel
Noise until 2am from nearby pub and staff expressed surprise at this!
Staff where very friendly & good location. Our room was very clean
Bathroom door knob was not secured properly so this showed a lack of eye for detail
- Near marathon finish line! - Near city centre - Helpful to marathon runners.
Breakfast was 15euro which was a little expensive.
Everything can not complain about anything.Would recommend
The hotel lobby is nice, but the upstairs halls are dark and closed and my room was quite out-of-date and shabby. I moved after one night because it was depressing. This hotel badly needs a facelift!
Location good. Front desk manager friendly.
Room temp unable to be adjusted and it was very hot and stuffy. No face washers, bathrooms dated. Breakfast very poor. No fruit, empty containers everywhere and it appeared under staffed. No toilet brush. Give it a miss!
Room & location.
Breakfast very poor. Cost at € 15 each, very expensive for poor quality, badly presented, cold food.
Clean comfortable room. Lovely staff. Good breakfast
I was after a good place to relax and enjoy after a week of driving and the place ticked all the boxes.
I have to say the staff were lovely & very helpful, with the exception of the chef in the kitchen!
I orders a chicken wrap from the restaurant and what I got was two lumps of thigh bone that clearly were ready for the bin. This was totally inedible and disgusting. When I showed what I got to the manager he apologised and offered me a complimentary drink.! which I didn't take. I went hungry as the chef went home and the kitchen had nothing else to offer me. I was charged for the desert my daughter had and the drink I ordered. This is not the way to do business. Shame on you. At breakfast the following morning the hot food counter was empty! The scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage trays were empty. I had to ask the waiter to bring out more. Also the orange juice dispenser was empty. When this was refreshed the dispenser was broken. It had to go back into the kitchen and be emptied into a jug! Also there was no brown bread available. I was charged €30 for breakfast for myself and my daughter. She only had a glass of orange and a plain croissant. Surely this does not cost €15 When I ordered a pot of tea I was brought "herbal tea" and had to wait for a real pot of tea. Thirdly, the fire alarm went off at 6.30 am in the morning and terrified most of us staying in the hotel. The noise was deafening. There were no staff on hand to advise us what was happening and when I telephoned reception 4 times nobody answered the phone. Nobody patrolled the corridors to evacuate the building. When I finally managed to speak to reception they informed me that an "American lady used her American Hairdryer" and blew a fuse in the system that triggered the alarm! Surely with the volume of American & Canadian visitors to the O' Callaghan hotel group they should have safeguards in place to prevent this happening. If you stay here be prepared to spend part of your night on the street when the fire alarm goes off.!
