Only a 5 minute walk from Temple Bar in central Dublin, The Charles Stewart offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms with shower, free Wi-Fi, and full Irish breakfasts in a charming Georgian style...
Score from 2685 reviews Good
Convenient location, helpful and friendly staff, possibility to buy a package tour (3 options), well-equipped kitchen, cleanliness, computer room (regretted having taken my heavy laptop with me) You might need an adapter if you have a European plug. UK adapters work well
Rooms were pretty cold
They have integration activities every day and the heating system is very good!
They mix women and men in the same room. I don't know if this is common in another places, but I felt uncomfortable because that was my first time in a hostel.
Staff very friendly, Free diner on wesnesday
Wifi connection is poor in the room.
good located , friendly staff
Nice staff. Great location, in a local bars&clubs area, not just the touristic stuff.
The confort level, even for the more expensive private double room we chose, was pretty low : no furniture but the bed. Noisy neighbours and neighbourghood.
The staff, the stay, the atmosphere, the location. This hostel was so great, I stayed two weekends in a row because I looked it so much I had to return! The staff is perfect, and the kitchen has everything you need.
Only thing that was less than ideal was the Wi-Fi, pretty slow connections, but there's a coffee shop just around the corner.
The hostel staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were really clean and the location was perfect. Will definitely be staying here again!!
Wifi was poor in room
Athmosphere, people, I got a beautiful free dinner, location all very good
Nothing I didn't like
Moved to a room on my own at no extra cost bonus! Top place will be back!
good value for money
Friendly reception. .clean room and bathroom. .Just a nice chilled vibe. .Will go back with certainty. . :-)
If you ok with sharing clean and orderly kitchen facilities there's not much to not like..
location and simplicity
Very friendly staff, good value for the money, good locations
Noise from the street
a fine place with good facilities, staff and the fellow travelers were nice
all was okay, maybe a few door hooks in the rooms to have more space to hang our clothing and wet towels would be an improvement
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was better than we could have wished for.
Quite noisy outside as there is a bar/club next door and our window faced an alley/road so we're woken a few times in the night.
The staff was very helpful and longtermers were also very friendly and nice. The kitchen was equiped very well and overall cleanliness was superb.
There are quite a few pubs nearby, that are open until the small hours in the morning, so if you like a good deep sleep, chances are that you will be disapointed.
Noisy at night
Extreme loud hostel, singing, shouting, partying till 6/7 'o clock. Staff doesn't intervene in the noise disturbance. Extreme small rooms. Our reservation metioned a tv in the room, but they don't have tvs here, false advertising. Only use when you don't want to see Dublin, but party all night..
Location, cleanliness and at the price it was fantastic value. It done us for the few hours we needed it and give us hot water for a shower in the morning. First time in a hostel and I would stay here again no problem and its right beside copper face jacks & harcourt hotel, great for the likes of football matches etc.
Be prepared to see things you miten like to & alot of weird 'smells' I had friends staying as well and they had to leave. Defo not a place for a nice night away in Dublin with your loved ones!!
There was loud music from the bar across the street every night until 4 or 5am. Earplugs were a necessity. The bed was made for people less than 180 cm tall.
Clean and friendly, with helpful staff and it was only a 15 minute walk to the city centre.
Really liked the staff, very helpful and friendly! Liked the layout of hostel, really appealing for people travelling or young people! Kitchen downstairs to hang around and have a fridge to store food!! Rooms were very clean!
Homeless people asleep across the street in the morning:( was sad to see that while we were having fun in Dublin.
This location is actually a great location, on a street with some great stores, restaurants, and bars. But it's not the main tourist downtown that most people expect. Also, one of the best free breakfasts of any hostel I've ever stayed at.
An extra 10-20 minute walk to most tourist sites.
Only thing I could fault was the result on Sunday. Up Donegal.
Croke Park at 5:00
