Everything was perfect!
The hosts were very friendly and breakfast was delicious!
Pat was very helpful explaining where everything was and gave great tips on where to go in Galway. Very enjoyable stay.
Catherine&Pat perfect hosts.Accommodation beautifully decorated&immaculately clean.Presentation at breakfast A1.Will definitely recommend it&twill return when the occasion arises.
Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location. Loved proximity to the promenade and a short walking distance to Galway. Hosts were very helpful and gracious, absolutely fantastic.
- No negatives to list, thank you
- The hosts are some of the nicest people I have ever met and were willing to help us plan out our itinerary for Galway and Connemara. We were literally on a first name basis from the moment we set foot in their home. - The accommodations were extremely comfortable and up-to-date - The breakfast served each morning was grand - Great Wifi which reached all the way to the top floor where our room was located - Wonderful view (albeit it somewhat distant) of the coast and surrounding city from our windows - The location is quiet and just far enough from the city to retreat at night for some peace while still being close enough to Galway to walk there while taking in the coastal view of the Aran Islands
Exceptional hosts and breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Patrick and Catherine were lovely, as was their home. We were treated like family and enjoyed sharing time with them. I would strongly recommend Cappa Veagh to anyone traveling to the Galway area.
We totally enjoyed our stay at Cappa Veagh. Catherine and Patrick were very helpful and were extremely friendly. They worked very well together and both made us feel very much at home. They supplied bottled water and breakfast was great with lots of variety. Recommend to any travelers. Tea and coffee were also available when you wanted it.
You got the feeling when you entered the house you knew Pat all your life , he made you feel at home straight away , the breakfast was excellent ,five minuets walk down to the prom in salt hill and loads of good restaurants .would love to go back again. .
Top floor room has a sloping ceiling, I hit my head on it a few times, but ..... regardless this is an awesome location with the most friendly hosts. I would not look any further.
Very friendly people we looking for a number for a taxi and the owner dropped us into town
Liked everything and our hosts were very warm and friendly . They made our stay most enjoyable
It was perfect!
The house is beautiful and the rooms are really cosy. Pat and Catherine are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. The breakfast is outstanding - fresh fruit salad, muesli, the best french toast I ever had and they prepare additional stuff on your request (like omelette and salmon etc.). The house is located in Salthill - you can reach the promenade and Salthill "centre"within 5-10 minutes (walking). It's a calm neighbourhood.
Parking was a little tight. Our room was on the top floor of the house and was very warm.
Great breakfast and helpful, accommodating hosts. Room was quiet and clean.
Nothing-it was great.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had some difficulty accessing the online payment system, so they invoiced us and we were able to pay later that day. This allowed us to get on the road and start our day. Rooms were lovely and spacious, and breakfast was excellent. The location was close enough to Galway that we could walk, but far enough removed that we had a lot of peace and quiet. Proximity to the ocean was also a plus. Overall, we had a great experience, and would recommend it to anyone.
Our room was very small.Staying longer I would ask for larger room but otherwise perfect stay.
Wonderful hosts Pat & Catherine. Welcomed us warmly with tea & cake. Assisted us to carry luggage upstairs. We only had one night so appreciated information Pat provided. 20 minute walk into main city area then returned along the esplanade found wonderful Fish & Chip shop to have on the beach. Room comfortable. Breakfast divine best we had on our 35 days travelling UK/Ireland. Recommend Catherine's specials. Irish mist porridge & salmon scrambled eggs.
Parking on site. Took alittle maneuvering as space was tight. It worked though and car was off street and safe.
Food excellent. Owners very friendly and helpful. Great place. Walking distance to a local pub.

Leaving... we wished we had stayed longer! Just some advice to other visitors, look for street names on some of the low walls by the sidewalks in this area, as we didn't know to look there and got a bit lost (Ireland is not very well marked as far as streets go, in any area we went to). It was easy to find once we learned this strategy. This was not something we didn't like about their B&B, it was lovely, just a tip for other newbie travelers like us and there isn't anywhere for additional notes :)
Pat & Catherine were extremely warm and welcoming hosts! They offered tea and cake (which was a delicious orange-chocolate cake that we could eat every day) upon arrival and made great suggestions for dinner in the town of Salthill. Pat was extremely helpful with directions and providing maps, and Catherine is a fantastic cook. Breakfasts were great every day! They also helped us with our itinerary for Galway on our second day and in how to find our way to our next destination when we were leaving. The place was spotless and comfortable (beds were comfy too!), it felt very much like being in the home of family members. The location was just a short walk to the promenade and not too far to walk to Galway. Thanks to both of our hosts for a lovely stay! We would recommend this B&B to anyone.
