Score from 100 reviews Very good
The rooms were spacious, the breakfasts excellent, the owners gracious and informative. The Burren is quite different from most of Ireland, very interesting and a nice break from the busy cities. The B&B is in the Ballyvaughan area and an easy drive to the Cliffs of Moher or Galway. This was the favorite place to stay in our family group of seven adults.
I went down with my boyfriend for the weekend as it was both of our birthdays. The room was huge and luxurious, with a huge bed, comfy couch, and spotlessly clean, much better than a hotel. The staff were lovely and welcoming, giving us books and brochures on arrival about the Burren. We had a beautiful view of a stony hill out our window, very quiet area, minutes away from Aillwee Cave, halfhour or so drive to Doolin Cave, Cliffs of Moher etc. The breakfast was excellent and actually enough food to fill my boyfriend for the day, which isn't easy! He then proposed to me while we were in the BnB, which speaks quite highly of the romantic atmosphere in itself! Thanks so much to staff for helping to make our weekend wonderful. We'll be back for the anniversary every year!
Everything from the location. About 1 mile from Ballyvaughan village. Great Italian Restaurant and pubs with music and craic. Will definitely go back. The Proprietors were amazingly friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. We were made to feel like we were part of the family.
Our room was lovely, the bed very comfortable, and the food was wonderful. Our hosts were great sources of information about the area, and we would highly recommend their B & B.
Great breakfast Excellent local advice
Hot water ran out on one day
Set in a rural location and run by a very friendly couple who gave us all the information we needed to make the most of our stay in the Burren(Including how to find Father Teds house which is not that easy) Very spacious room with an excellent breakfast. Local village only 5 minutes drive away with a good choice of places to eat. A great place to stay that I hope we will return to.
A great location, 2 minutes from Aillwee caves. Beautiful surroundings being surrounded by the Burren. Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds and the food was great. I would stay here again
Breakfast was excellant they really look after you. The owners were lovely. Rooms were huge. Well worth the stay would recommend this property
Pillows were a bit hard
Conor and Margaret are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We found the location to be perfect as a base to relax in between outings to Doolin, Inisheer, Fanore Beach, the Cliffs of Moher (they even gave us a map and directions to a great place to view them from the south!) and the Burren. Our rooms were beautiful, clean and comfy. Breakfast choices included things like a beautiful fruit platter, smoked salmon with eggs, a full Irish breakfast, and more. This in addition to cereals, toast, juice, coffee, tea, etc. Everything we had was delicious. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Truly one of the best experiences of our trip!
The owners were lovely, as was the scenery. Great value for money, easy access to surrounding tourist attractions - great advice on how to maximize our stay. Guest house and rooms are warm, clean and very homely. Breakfast was a treat. Definitely recommend and will return.
The location was easy to find and convenient. Also had beautiful views of the surrounding burren. Wifi worked wonderfully! Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Beds were comfortable. The owner was very helpful and offered a lot of suggestions for things to do in the area. He has a vast knowledge of the history of the region.
A family run place where you feel very welcomed & valued as a guest. The house is immaculate & the food was amazing. I would highly reccomend & will definitely return.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very helpful with information about the area. Our room was HUGE with beautiful views and the breakfast the following morning ...... Well it was perfect!!! Overall great value for money and worth a return visit!!
It's only a little thing and didn't affect us that much but if the shower had been a power shower then ..... But we definitely intend to revisit!
Innkeepers were so knowledgeable and pleasant. They woke early to serve us a full breakfast before actual scheduled time and gave us great advice on seeing the local highlights. Wonderful.
The staff were great. They were friendly, very helpful and eager to give the local knowledge to make your stay a ripper. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was really good. I could not recommend this place highly enough.
Convenient location to explore the Burren.Close to the village for restaurants. Excellent services from staff at front desk upon arrival. Good clealiness overall.
Some modernization in the rooms would be better.
Large and spacious room with beautiful surroundings. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choices, for example fruit and cheese. The host is very friendly and helpful. He also recommended good restaurangs, especially a fish restaurant and interesting places to visit.
Excellent B&B... Very helpful owners...
Great location with very comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. On arrival our Margaret explained to us all the local sights to visit.
We liked talking to Connor. He helped us with local events and sights. It made for a very enjoyable stay.
All of the above great breakfasts!!
Very welcoming hosts, full of good local information and recommendations of places to visit. Excellent local restaurant, beautiful area to explore. We traveled extensively around Ireland and this area is one we would definitely revisit.
We didn't allow enough time to explore this area and wish we had stayed longer!
The owners were helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was delicious.
