An interesting building. The room was very nice-spacious and cosy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly The fact that there wasn't a "proper " restaurant . We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and were expecting a gourmet meal, not pub food.

we travelled to athy because my daughter lives there and we wanted to stay nearby and all meet for a meal that night . The food was lovely and promptly served. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. We were put in a room directly over the service door of the hotel and were woken at 6am by vans and men talking loudly service in the bar was not too good either.

Comfort, friendliness of staff, feeling welcome, spacious room, warm in Winter, atmosphere - hotel occupies site of nuns' convent and retains the original features and antique furniture, but also has a modern touch. Overall, very pleasant. The breakfast wasn't up to scratch. Whereas the fry element was fine, the buffet table with cereals, juices, etc. was quite meagre and staff in that area were bustling around.

I had a lovely room on this occasion, the Receptionist Alisha was extremely pleasant and helpful very professional. I also had food in the bar, I have to say it was disappointing, on menu as vol au vents with chicken and wild mushrooms, I definitely got no wild mushrooms but it was tasty. All in all, I have stayed at this stage on numerous occasions and I like the hotel for its location, comfort, value for money and friendly staff.

Close to town. Leisure facilities. Nice old world "Abbey" feel to the hotel. Spa/leisure is in separate building. Food is good but not gourmet

The service.Th The service was excellent the location was good and the room was very good except it got cold at night if we could have turned on a little heating or some way of taking away the chill it would be good. I would stay here the next time I visit. 9 out of 10

Location suits the purpose of my stay very well. We had a double bed and it is way too small. Can't understand why you would have such a tiny bed in such a generous sized room.

The leisure centre was not attached to the hotel, we found it to be more of a local gym than an amenity for residents. No hot water for shower in our hotel room, not very good when you have a baby with you. Nothing to do with a small child.

Ideal location, smart external appearance, bargain rate Friday night stay. Dusty room - cobwebs and paper thin walls. Function room full of rowdy late night drinkers
