Amazing views of sea. Especially from ocean view room. Great breakfast huge portions great quality
Couldn't get wifi in room
We picked the hotel for it's superb location but were slightly worried by some of the negative reviews. We needn't have been! Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and competent, and dinner was the best meal we had during our weeklong trip through Donegal! We'll be back!
Staff pleasant and courteous. Lovely atmosphere. Quiet surroundings. Lovely food. Lovely view from balcony room overlooking lough Foyle.
Leaving to go home.
Bed size big and cosy .
Are room was rite beside elevator we didn't get much sleep and next morn woke very early with cleaners and staff useing elevator a lot .we also informed the girl at check in that it was are 3rd year wedding anniversary.. Every other year they would have gave us some chocolates on a lovely plate saying happy anniversary ..but this is the first year we didn't :(
great pool - good dinner in bar - pleasant staff
needs renovating - dated furniture and décor
The location and views
The heat in our room was uncomfortable even though we had the fan, windows and aircon on. Couldn't sleep as we could hear people walking in the room above us as the floors were very noisy and extractor fans from outside also kept us awake, thought for the money we paid we should have had a nicer accommodation and a good nights sleep.
- very spacious bedroom, very comfortable - delicious breakfast with lots of choice - swimming pool excellent
- I had been led to believe there was a spa but it was a swimming pool with a few bubble pools (cold) to the sides of the main pool, no sauna etc - poor service of staff at main door, no-one offered to take our cases to our room etc, which I would expect in 4 star accommodation
Got upgraded to a suite, staff were very helpful. Have booked to stay again
I liked the little touches in the room-like the bottled water and tea bags and coffee replenished every day.
the layout of the bar and the fact that it closed at 11.30 pm on the button and then you had to use the night porter-if you could get him.
Everything that i needed was in one place. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced.
When we arrived we had to wait almost 3hours for our room to be ready.
Was at the Hotel for a Wedding, and I must say, the whole setting, food, staff etc was top quality. I will definitely be returning for another stay in the near future.
Enjoyed our evening meals and cleanliness of the hotel. Thank you.
On the second morning some of the items at the cooked buffet bar were cold.
The staff were really attentive & pleasant to all our needs which was excellent. The scenery was amazing, it added to the relaxing weekend we had. It was the first time we'v stayed & we will definitely be back again.
Great stay, great staff, all in all a wonderful break. Just what we needed!!

The leisure facilities were good
Rooms overpriced for the standards you got. Had to complain that our room wasnt cleaned,or no new towels or tea making facilities.
Quick and helpful service at reception and in restaurant. Good location - handy for the Greencastle ferry and touring the Innishowen penninsula including the "famine village" Would have liked to stay longer to try the golf course which looked good.
The pool had been closed for some hours for maintenance. When we mentioned this at reception on our way home, we were invited to stay for the rest of the day to get the use of this facility- we couldn't take up the offer but appreciated the courtesy shown
Floorboards very noisy no matter where we walked in the room. The room above sounded the same. Bed was quite hard. Was waken from 6.50am with what sounded like a burner kicking in. Bathroom very small and narrow.
Staff & location lovely! Will be back.
Should be more balcony rooms rather than just a few reserved for weddings.
Great service, helpful staff. Wonderful food....just a lovely place to relax and be pampered.
Food excellent, Dinner & breakfast. stunning setting overlooking lough foyle from function room and breakfast room. bedroom/bathroom faultless.Staff as one would expect no complaints. I hope to revisit this hotel
there was nothing about my stay at Redcastle Hotel I didn,t like, I didn,t avail of the leisure suite so sorry I cant review it.
As always staff are friendly and the hotel setting is great.
Small bed with lumpy mattress.
The hospitality was fantastic, especially from the lovely chatty bar staff #wee lads# lol#see you soon boys # good craic# a very clean hotel inside and out, stunning views
i was not to empressed by the evening meal menu, not much choice but what i got was very filling however. i would have preferred the bar menu though.... but i loved my stay and will defo go back...
The scenery and the quality of the entire hotel
Although we were only staying a night and had no intentions to explore the surrounding areas, there isn't too much to do in the neighbouring towns.
The room we slept in was beside an extractor fan and the noise was terrible all night could not have a proper sleep. They also had work going on outside our room and the noise of work men all morning was very annoying.
Staff warm and friendly. Room comfortable overlooking rather bland sea. Food excellent in both the captains bar and the restaurant. Terrific breakfast.
Nothing to complain of.
