Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport

Der Busshuttleservice war jederzeit erreichbar und verkehrte regelmäßig zwischen Flughafen udn Hotel. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr nett eingerichtet, das Bad ausreichend groß und es gab schöne große Badetücher.

Der Shuttleservie zum und vom Hotel war gut organisiert.

Der Service im Restaurant war leider sehr schleppend. Die Mitarbeiter kamen erst auf Zeichen.

Sehr gute ruhige Lage beim Airport mit Shuttledienst und guter Anbindung an das öffentliche Bus-Netz in das Zentrum von Dublin (ca. 25 Min.). Frühstück OK. Für Stadtbesichtigung ohne Auto bestens geeignet.

WC-Muschel (ZI 127) wackelt und knirscht und wurde, trotz Mitteilung an das Zimmerpersonal, nicht innerhalb eines Tages behoben. Beim Auschecken musste der gebuchte Zimmerpreis reklamiert und somit die erste Kreditkarten-Abbuchung storniert sowie die Rechnung zweimal ausgestellt werden. Der vereinbarte Preis sollte eigentlich gespeichert sein! Unnötiger Zeitaufwand wenn mehrere auf den Bus warten!

Das hotel liegt sehr nah am Flughafen, hat einen funktionnierenden Shuttle Service und ist ansonsten etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Convenient, not nice.

Water pressure was a little low in the shower

Room was tidy. We got to check in before 2 o clock which was a bonus...but only on the condition that we took a) a noisy room above a party room or b) a room laid out with disabled access.

On returning to the hotel we asked at the bar if it was still possible to eat (23.30). We were informed that we could choose from a selection of sandwiches (all meat based) I asked for the vegetarian option and was informed that a cheese salad option was available. If we had known that it was a glorified easi-singles processed cheese sandwich, I wouldnt have bothered. In fact had I known we would have spent the €50 on prosecco in a city centre location where they served real cheese sandwiches. The people at the next table entered shortly afterwards with a pizza...And the espressos were really poor...

I had to be at the airport by 4:30 AM and it was perfectly located to the airport.

It was noisy. I could hear the flight crews talking outside the hotel and I could hear the person snoring in the room adjacent to mine. I have stayed at airport hotels before and I know there are things they could do to sound proof better.

The hotel was conveniently located near the airport, and provided a very convenience shuttle service. It was simple to make arrangements online for the room, and staff was easily able to locate my booking when I arrived. Staff were friendle and accommodating. The restaurant looked very nice, but as I was traveling very late and between flights, I did not have the opportunity to eat any meals. Everything was very clean.

The room was very sparse. The bed was very hard, and I had difficulty sleeping for back pain ( I do not have any back troubles.) Truly, this was the hardest and most uncomfortable bed I have ever encountered. The bathroom was elegant, but its design with a half-glass door led to the spraying with water outside of the shower area, with no way of prevention. The television had only 3 working channels (2 with political speeches constantly), making it difficult to find news or any other interesting programming.
