location and style of hotel, food was very good the breakfast was very basic and we had difficulty getting into breakfast room as we arrived there a few minutes before 10, we had to almost tell the staff we were not leaving until we got a table as breakfast was still been served. |

It is a very relaxing hotel, with lots of parkland surrounding it, which is very suitable for walks. Staff were excellent. Spa treatments good. Food was good quality and good value. |

the grounds, the building, the room, the bed, the breakfast, tranquil surroundings our room was furthest room from reception, no real vegetarian food, had to go to golf clubhouse for meal, killed the atmosphere a bit, couldn't figure out how to get bathoom lights bright. Minor points boot took away slightly from all round excellent hotel. |

Great location 45 minutes from DUB airport. Beautiful building and grounds.Modern room as in the accurate web pictures.Excellent welcome from the very helpful friendly staff.Yes! Yes! Stuffy hot room with poorly functioning air conditioner. Very hot-made sleeping difficult. As it was late, we did not ask to change rooms but slept with the door to the patio open. Noisey for a while and no security from ground floor patio. Drain did not work well, few other small problems. |

Sense of being away from it all. Beds very comfortable. Lovely grounds and very spacious relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Location is excellent. Weddings every weekend, so all night noise from bar on Friday night. Do not stay in Lord Offaly suite in old house...it is right over the bar. However when we moved, there was no noise whatsoever. |

the ambience was simply divine, nothing wehave evr experienced before and we have stayed at 5 star. The reception area will stick in my mind for a lone time. Unusual and a lot of paper work. Wow. Again, the reception area looked onorganised, albeit computerised, an awfull lot of paper work was floating between the 4 stations, seemed a liitle commerciallised and cold we thought. In fact we walked past them thinkning they were information desks!!!! |

I thought it was a really lovely hotel and the surrounding grounds were beautiful. Some music in the bar at night would have been nice. |

The hotel was in a beautiful and tranquil setting. Our room was very clean and modern. My only minor criticism was that the water in the shower and bath was not very hot and the room itself was difficult to heat up. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Another bonus was that Real Madrid were staying at the hotel for a week training while we were there and this gave a real buzz to the hotel- we met Raul in the bar and Ronaldo at the training pitch! |

Carton House was definately fitted out as a luxury hotel. The rooms were well planned, everything worked and staff were very helpful. I tried ringing room service twice till it hung up on me. Eventually I called reception who asked room service to call me. They did and the phone cut out but they did call me back. It all took quite a while and calling reception took a long time for them to answer too. |

Hotel was more of a castle really!! Well designed, food was amazing, great athmosphere, surroundings of hotel were beautiful, 1100 acres of woodland and greens, great for walks and golfers. Didn't have any treatments in the spa but it looked very relaxing, used the pool sauna, steam room and they were all lovely |

we were in town because i was havin a proceedure on my teeth done and we booked into the hotel because i was being sedated, the hotel its self was fantasic!!!!!! very comfortable and i loved the fact you could leave your room by your own french door. The bath was a very nice feature but the water was not hot enough and i could only stand to stay in for 2 minutes and had to get into the shower to warm up. |

It is on lovely grounds. The spa swimming pool area and the house itself was very nice I found the food not to be up to standard. |
