Friendly and helpful staff.
The food was not great value for money. The quality and presentation for 58 euro per head was poor. I would expect a much higher standard for that sort of money, my partners steak looked and tasted like a quick fry steak from a supermarket.... My leg of lamb was average as was the starters, but the chowder was really good and the deserts where 50/50 one great one average.
Nothing to dislike
This was our second visit to Cashel House and from the time we booked we were looking forward to our few days there. The location is wonderfully secluded, the staff are so welcoming, fires lighting in little snug hideouts around the house, welcoming afternoon tea with warm scones in front of the fire in the library..and looking forward to really fabulous fine dining in the conservatory dining room by candlelight, over looking the gardens! We have been there in sunshine in the summer and this time even on a rainy weekend we felt cosseted, looked after in a 5 star laid back kind of way! This is a gem of a place and the team there are superb! Thanks for another wonderful stay. We'll be back.
The whole decor gardens etc
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT
Accept it's an old house and understand its character because of that. Enjoy because it is special
Owner v friendly.
No issues at all
Excellent size, comfort and decor in rooms associated with great cuisine and idyllic location, not cheap but still good value for money.
Breakfast and attitude of manager...receptionist was lovely.
Enjoyed a lovely weekend here. The location ..house and gardens were first class. I found staff lacked charm for such a wonderful country house. They seemed indifferent. Breakfast was not good and consequently we decided not to have dinner...just in case! If you are looking for little bit of peace and calm in wonderful location then go to Cashel House Hotel....but eat in Clifden or Roundstone.!!!
We had to leave!
Beautiful gardens, fantastic food, friendly staff, comfortable place
Entrance needs to be made safe difficult to exit co council should be asked to alter the road.
The history of the place, The good food
Impossible to find anything not to like about Cashel House Hotel.
Cashel House Hotel transports you into an oasis of peace, tranquility and beauty. The loveliness of the house and the beauty of the surroundings is second to none. The food is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - always there for you, yet never intrusive. We particularly welcomed the absence of piped music in the hotel. All in all a beautiful experience to spend some time in Cashel House Hotel.
A bit tattered on the edges
Old fashioned charm and warm welcome, good food, beautiful gardens and setting
We stayed four nights and had a terrific time. The staff was very helpful in reviewing hikes and local events. The gardens are terrific, the food excellent. It is a splurge, but a wonderful spot.
Dear sir/madam I will find it hard to book again through your company due to the false advertising you gave on our current get away, we booked the cashel house hotel through u as you stated on the hotel facilities that it had a tennis court and massage facilities along with pool, both my husband and I came equipped wth rackets etc for these but there is nothing like that here , our friends booked also from Scotland on our recommendation that there was child minding as well but nothing of the sort, whilst the hotel is ok and grounds lovely the dinner was so expensive at €50 a head. Phone signal appalling, I am quite disgusted at having to pay a €190 for the room. I may take this booking recommendation of yours to a solicitor Debbie Carroll
Better mobile& internet connection via I phone
Dinner excellent Bed room very good
Cooked breakfast was rather tasteless
I loved the "Downton Abbey" Edwardian feel of the hotel with its fine china and decor. The rooms are luxurious yet homely and the garden and surrounds are beautiful..It is an ideal place to stay if you want to experience a slower more relaxing pace of life.
Setting beautiful, off the beaten track.
Excellent restaurant The best mussels ever!
The restaurant a bit "outdated" and we found the price of the night expensive.
We have liked the design of the house and her beautiful location. The staff were in costumes and there was a little exhibition of collection cars in the entrance. Nice and big rooms with beautiful views on the lake, and the breakfast was amazing !
Rooms could be updated and showers were very poor
The gardens are amazing and it was brilliant that it was pet friendly
Old world style and charm a quiet place with a lovely walk around gardens.personal attention by the owner
Hotel requires renovation, especially bathrooms.
Staff, attitude, history of the hotel, prints and paintings on the walls.
