A family-run hotel. Cassidys Hotel: a gem in the heart of it all.

Cassidys Hotel is located at the top of O'Connell Street, opposite the Gate theatre, in 3 Georgian redbrick town houses which provided a backdrop to the work of famous Irish writers such a O'Casey, Shaw and Joyce. Making the most of the elegant proportions and classic plasterwork, the whole building has been painstakingly refurbished to give 21st-century comfort in the granduer of another age.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for sightseeing, lots to see within walking distance and plenty of buses available if needed.

The room was too warm even with the window open!

Position in Dublin

The room we had did not have any heat. The management did move use to another room which was ok. The buffet breakfeast was not very warm they need to improve this as the food was excellcent just spoiled by not being very warm.

excellent mattresses!

1.allocated a smoking room having specified non-smoking - staff quickly changed room and 2.overseas staff don't help the 'Dublin experience'

I liked the gym facilities

We seemed to have a few issues with our bathroom. E.G. Toilet not flushing, drip coming from the upstairs bathroom.

It's location was good

The Irish Breakfest was over the top expensive. We went to a cafe down the street and got the same for half price.

The hotel is very convenient to city and other facilities. Our room was top class.

It was quite expensive. Could not afford to stay more than one night.

They did not have us booked for the children, so there was some uncertainty when we arrived about how we would sleep them. After some waiting, they were able to arrange the children's beds. The rooms were very small and the gym hardly worth mentioning.
