Easy parking for my motorcycle as attending bikefest. Garage close by. Access to countryside. Close to town. Access to room when needed helps during bad weather. Possibly extending breakfast to 10:30 would be useful during festival type weekends to allow for late nights out. |

The staff were very nice. We had a clogged sink that we noticed the first night but did not report and they had cleared it up whilst we were out the next day. The breakfast was very generous and good. The family room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Not a fancy place but it had a good location where we walked into town for dinner. |

Ease of access, car parking. Room very comfortable & clean. Plenty to choose from & eat for breakfast which is served by attentive, busy & polite staff!! 4* hotels could come here for training!! All in all surprising and very enjoyable. On the Monday I had to leave early so the kitchen made me bacon sandwiches for the road trip. Little touches like this get business. The TV, really more of an ornament, like the 70's with 2 channels!! Not good for a weekend visit. The tv in a room with no wifi is the news & weather! Frustrating if you are not a drinker and want an early night. |

The room was quite cozy and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location on a major road is a plus. |

The hotel was close to the main shops and the bus station, the breakfasts were adequate, although being veggie this was lacking. But overall I thought it was very good value for money and would stay again. As mentioned the veggie breakfast |

This isa straightforward good value hotel which offers good bed and breakfast accommodation without attempting to provide bar and meal facilities. |

Location and the size of the family rooms were great - in addition the staff member on duty was very friendly and extremely helpful with all requests. Bit run down and the shower temperature was inconsistent ice cold to scorching without touching the taps. |

This hotel is very central to the town. It is clean and the rates are very reasonable, therefore would stay in the Castle Lodge again. What I did not like about my stay was that we were two couples staying at this hotel and there was a vast difference between both rooms. We stayed in a very basic room while the couple with us had a lovely decorated and modern room. Bit disappointed as I did the booking.!! |
