These include: Car trips to Muckross House or Ross Castle; bicycle rental and maps; guided walks; tours to the Ring of Kerry or Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head; golf; horse-riding; angling; a quiet evening in one of the local traditional pubs or even a romantic meal for two!
Picnic packages are available on request should you wish to enjoy the great outdoors for the day. For packages and prices, please request at check-in or make a note in the free text box provided when booking.
42 golf courses, including 10 seaside links, are located within a 2-hour drive of the guest house.
Historic castles and abbeys, gardens, entertainment and shops are in abundance.

It was the very best guesthouse ever.It was excellent value for money the staff were very helpful and kind the food was very tasty and plenty of it.The rooms were very comfortable and warm.I would give this guesthouse 100% I loved everything about this guesthouse |

Good value for money, full Irish/English breakfast, willingness of staff to serve breakfast to us hours before the scheduled time for breakfast because we had an early flight. Nice crisp sheets and comfortable beds. There was nothing I did not like. |

It was very centrally located - just 5 minutes walk from city center. It was reasonably priced, clean and the staff were helpful. Check in was very quick. Small TV with only 3 channels. |

Staff was friendly and helpful in finding sites to tour, directions and places to eat. Fulfilled all requests and made our stay pleasant. Breakfast was excellent - first ever full Irish breakfast. I have already recommended this hotel to a co-worker. |

The location The staff were not welcoming. On checkout we were treated horribly as there was a problem with the bill, which lay in the hands of the castlelodge Guesthouse. We were treated like animals. We are 4 girls just finished college and went away for a night of relaxation and fun and all we got on checkout was abuse, therefore we will never be staying in the castlelodge Guesthouse again |

The family room was large and spacious and you could book for more than two children. There was plenty of parking and it was only a short walk into the town centre. Breakfast closed at 9.45am which is a little early and the dining room was too small to accommodate all the guests. |
