In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.

Only a 5 minute walk from Temple Bar in central Dublin, The Charles Stewart offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms with shower, free Wi-Fi, and full Irish breakfasts in a charming Georgian style...
Score from 2676 reviews Good
Huge family room, great location, very helpful staff, and nice full breakfast.
The bathroom had bad ventilation and stayed damp after showers. shower/tub was small... otherwise good!
bar and food and very clean
Location, any queries were dealt with straight away.
Overall cannot think of anything that we did not like
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable central location, near Parnell Sq., the Garden of Remembrance and Dublin Writers' Museum good quality at a fair price
breakfast was ok but could have some options if you're not into full irish breakfast; especially the fruit (canned grapefruits and tangerines were awful)
Very good location and the staff is great. The hotel looks really authentic and room 325 was very silent as we requested.
Shower was a little bit small and not very comfortable, which isn't a big deal for me, but still...
Great breakfast Helpful, friendly staff
Shaver socket not working
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly
We really like the location,it it so central to all the sights. We travelled by car and the secure parking is a big plus. The staff are very welcoming and the fact that the hotel is so popular, speaks volumes for its value and friendliness. We asked for a specific room and this was no problem, the staff quite readily agreed. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day.We enjoyed an evening meal and the entertainment in the cellar bar was brilliant. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly. An all-round great experience.Thankyou.
To be honest we don't have anything negative to report.
I liked the quirkiness of the surroundings. The Vault Restaurant's early bird menu was good value for money and the service very good. I liked the ambiance of the old vault. Very good parking facilities considering closeness to centre of city. An initial complaint about the heating was very quickly resolved.
I've no complaints at all.
Staff, quiet room, location
Breakfast very average, but still edible. Fresh fruit consists of tinned grapefruit and mandarin oranges!
It was a very good stay... the hotel is not so far from the city center...
The heater wasn't working properly but they fixed the problem quickly ... :)
cozy, good food in the cafe, warm friendly staff
i had a decent room but it overlooked an alley, I didn't get it changed, but I probably could have
First class breakfast - staff always willing to help, upgraded after problem with plumbing in toilet.
Location was perfect. Easy walk into town and a couple of good local pubs in the opposite direction. Staff very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful.
The gourmet restaurant was lovely and the food superb
Car park but in the middle of dublin we shouldn't really complain
Location Friendly staff clean rooms
Very small bath towels Hairdryer that you have to hold the switch pressed while you use it
Hotel was in a great location. The breakfast was very good and staff couldn't do enough for us!!!
The staff were helpful and pleasant. The evening meal was enjoyable and the staff were again a joy. My partner is a celiac and the hotel provided gluten free bread and were helpful for the meals. Staying again next may.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Evening entertainment. breakfast ver noisy and busy but we'll staffed.
Poor TV provision. No free view or satellite. Not normal in 2014.
Great hotel, friendly staff and good music. Secure parking was a bonus.
Good location, within walking distance to major attractions and bus tours. Good to have a luggage minding service so we could leave our bags on the last day.
Bathroom needed a good clean. Otherwise the room was fine for the price in a major city.
Was a decent size room
Room 221 needed updating Hairdryer needed to be near a mirror, curtains in bathroom needed cleaning and paintwork
The location was ideal for our visit and the rooms were of a good standard.
We were told the room was £124 which was paid and then on departure advised we needed to pay a further £28 with no explanation. Was not happy with this.
Personal and friendly guest service with staff always happy to help in any way necessary
The rooms were a little old fashioned but it wasn't really a problem
