the atmosphere and location. Good breakfast and decoration.
Nice interior design. Nice breakfast.
Kind of cold at night
Two chairs in bedroom. Efficient reception.
Inconsistent staff helpfulness. Utensils and condiments not always easily accessible.
Too many stairs not easy to access.
Very friendly owner, love their pub and restaurant with entertainment. Location great for walking to main area of attractions on other side of liffy. Parking on site
Too much heat in rooms. That was only
I liked the staff the music the food wait a minute I liked everything about the castle hotel and will be going again
That I had to leave and come home
It was close to the hospital where we had an appointment.
Listen I don't know where to start. Firstly I didn't like the location , but I would get over that, as it was beside the hospital where we needed to be early next morning. I would describe it more like a hostel than a hotel. When you see pubic hair in a bathroom alarm bells start ringing, tv didn't work in room, however they offered to see to it but it was too late in the night. We have stayed in a few places this place was pretty bad, I don't like leaving a bad review but have to be honest, I didn't think places like this still existed .
The location of the hotel is great. I loved the meal I had in The Vault bar with live Irish folk music.
My room had recently been painted. The overwhelming paint fumes kept me awake all night. I slept with the windows open so was cold but this still made little difference. I then woke with a strong headache from the fumes. I didn't think guests should have been exposed to a room that had not been properly aired following painting.
One of the better 3 star hotels in Dublin. Good value for money, clean and breakfast was good.
Wi fi poor in room
shower wasnt very powerful
Loved the decor of the hotel lobby and rooms. Staff friendly, comfortable spacious room.
bathroom was freezing.
The hotel is very conveniently located, it's less than 5 minutes from O'Connell Street but still very affordable. The staff are courteous & very willing to help. The room I was in wasn't huge but it was more than adequate for a single occupant.
The plasma tv was advertised as part of the room, but it wasn't tuned correctly it was difficult to find channels or even tell which channel i was watching.
Excellent showering facilities Give hair and body gel Plenty of towels Staff called taxi and were helpful Irish staff- Good to support local jobs
Expensive for 1 nights stay Breakfast was chaotic- No system in place. Breakfasts came out no one knew who order them. Waiting to be seated for 10 minutes at breakfast and an additional twenty minutes for a breakfast that came out with no mushrooms/ white pudding with hash browns instead immersed in grease. TV suggests that there is sky television. Reception not the best.
The Castle Hotel were very friendly and helpful. We arrived very early on the Saturday morning and asked if it was ok to have breakfast before we started our shopping. Left the car in car park so it was safe and the staff told us to take our time on the Sunday coming back from more shopping. Great location with the main shopping centres just down the road. Would recommend this hotel and we will be back next year.
Our room was very hot but I just turned off one of the rads.
The hotel was handy to the centre of Dublin
I thought that the reception staff could have been more helpful. We were left to find our own way to our room. We were made to wait until exactly 2.30pm before being allowed to go to our room when checking in despite the fact that the room was ready before that. A lot of noise along the corridor outside our room late at night.
Staff at reception although extremely busy were very friendly. Rooms spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was top class in the beautiful "old music shop" dining room!
Reception area and outside of hotel does nothing for the little gem that it is!
Clean hotel and nice staff
Creaky floor boards
Staff was friendly, the hotel is very well organised, location superb, excellent breakfast, interior design of breakfast room is joyful, traditional Irish music night was something to remember...
Room was freezing and we requested 3 times for heating to be turned on. We were told it wasn't working in our room and we were given a portable heater which gave absolutely no heat and had to be switched off when sleeping/leaving room. The beds were so cold and tiny. The breakfast was of such poor quality.Bedroom windows need looked at - the freezing cold wind getting through was unbelievable. When we went to pull the curtains on the first night, we realised that one of the curtains was half hanging from the hooks. Hotel needs work or lower their charges! We have paid the same in other hotels and got a much better standard.
Good central location -near O Connell St .Staff very friendly & attentive.Value for money .
I found the TV hard to operate & the reception & choice of channels very inadequate -basic TV is taken for granted in any hotel.
Central, good wi-fi, breakfast good and included, nice staff, great value, great atmosphere, looks efficient.
Parking extra but 15 Euro not expensive in city centre.
Great location. Restaurant and bar right in hotel with live Irish music every Friday and Saturday night. Free breakfast included in room price!
The staff in this hotel are unbelievable in that they really go above and beyond the call of duty to facilitate guest requests.....so willing to please......makes a huge difference.....would leave a lot of other hotels in the shade in terms of customer service:)
The hotel is in a great area and the vault bar had a great atmosphere
Reception staff were not very friendly and the bedroom was freezing even after turning up the radiators to the last the room had a chill in it
Quiet room. Good entertainment at the weekend.
Very small room. Step down into the tiny bathroom. Double bed small and lumpy. Only place to plug the kettle in was on the floor at the bottom of the bed. No bath and very small shower. Certainly not worth the money paid. Not much variety at breakfast.
