Less than a 10-minute walk from Temple Bar, near O'Connell Street, this central Dublin hotel offers spacious, classically furnished rooms with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and showers.

Only a 5 minute walk from Temple Bar in central Dublin, The Charles Stewart offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms with shower, free Wi-Fi, and full Irish breakfasts in a charming Georgian style...
Score from 2772 reviews Good
In Dublin, the custom Temple Bar Inn provides free Wi-Fi access throughout and a 24-hour front desk. The popular O'Connell Street and Trinity College are both a 3-minute walk away.
Score from 893 reviews Very good
In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.
Score from 1187 reviews Very good
The hotel is very conveniently located, it's less than 5 minutes from O'Connell Street but still very affordable. The staff are courteous & very willing to help. The room I was in wasn't huge but it was more than adequate for a single occupant.
The plasma tv was advertised as part of the room, but it wasn't tuned correctly it was difficult to find channels or even tell which channel i was watching.
The hotel was handy to the centre of Dublin
I thought that the reception staff could have been more helpful. We were left to find our own way to our room. We were made to wait until exactly 2.30pm before being allowed to go to our room when checking in despite the fact that the room was ready before that. A lot of noise along the corridor outside our room late at night.
Staff at reception although extremely busy were very friendly. Rooms spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was top class in the beautiful "old music shop" dining room!
Reception area and outside of hotel does nothing for the little gem that it is!
Clean hotel and nice staff
Creaky floor boards
Staff was friendly, the hotel is very well organised, location superb, excellent breakfast, interior design of breakfast room is joyful, traditional Irish music night was something to remember...
Room was freezing and we requested 3 times for heating to be turned on. We were told it wasn't working in our room and we were given a portable heater which gave absolutely no heat and had to be switched off when sleeping/leaving room. The beds were so cold and tiny. The breakfast was of such poor quality.Bedroom windows need looked at - the freezing cold wind getting through was unbelievable. When we went to pull the curtains on the first night, we realised that one of the curtains was half hanging from the hooks. Hotel needs work or lower their charges! We have paid the same in other hotels and got a much better standard.
Good central location -near O Connell St .Staff very friendly & attentive.Value for money .
I found the TV hard to operate & the reception & choice of channels very inadequate -basic TV is taken for granted in any hotel.
Central, good wi-fi, breakfast good and included, nice staff, great value, great atmosphere, looks efficient.
Parking extra but 15 Euro not expensive in city centre.
Great location. Restaurant and bar right in hotel with live Irish music every Friday and Saturday night. Free breakfast included in room price!
The staff in this hotel are unbelievable in that they really go above and beyond the call of duty to facilitate guest requests.....so willing to please......makes a huge difference.....would leave a lot of other hotels in the shade in terms of customer service:)
The hotel is in a great area and the vault bar had a great atmosphere
Reception staff were not very friendly and the bedroom was freezing even after turning up the radiators to the last the room had a chill in it
Quiet room. Good entertainment at the weekend.
Very small room. Step down into the tiny bathroom. Double bed small and lumpy. Only place to plug the kettle in was on the floor at the bottom of the bed. No bath and very small shower. Certainly not worth the money paid. Not much variety at breakfast.
Staff very attentive, comfortable beds, clean and very tidy, great location and food was good
Parts of hotel a little run down, paper peeling in room
location, comfort, facilities
staff were efficient, but not friendly

We loved our short stay it was really good pity we couldn't stay longer hotel and staff was perfect we are very happy
staff friendly music good food ok in cellar breakfast excellent computer and printer to use for checking inn excellent
bed not so comfy doors banging noisy at front windows not double glazed no quilt
Room very very small No closet Old furniture
The hotel is in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast is good, but the cellar bar is excellent! The live music is great & the atmosphere is terrific.
It's a very old hotel so the floors creak like mad. The ensuite in our room had a bath in it which meant the toilet was so squashed in I could barely sit down on it...
Customer service, location, food, drink, cleanliness, wi fi reception and excellent value for money.
Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere as opposed to a stark, corporate hotel. Large, airy, well-run restaurant for breakfast / evening meals. Good quality Christmas decorations added to the hotel's charm.
It may have been a one-off, but there was a lot of rowdy noise on the Saturday coming from the street / nearby hotel (?) carrying on well into the small hours. My room was on the side of the hotel and unable to see source of problem.
Loved the style of the hotel.. Breakfast was excellent. Location ideal for shopping and night life. Great food.
Bed had a spring mattress which was a little uncomfortable.
Facilities were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was awesome and served really quick. Location is perfect with lots of buses connecting with every part of the city
location,price,breakfast,ease of getting a taxi at 6.50am
