Score from 1614 reviews Very good
location central good bar and restaurant reception staff pleasant and helpful breakfast is not fancy but good value for 6 euros compared with comparable places around. But if you can wait Id walk into town and find a nice cafe
poor shower pressure and temperature you have to ask to have the room heating switched on- fine once you work this out..
sound of music from the bar
Clean, comfy, great location... Not the Ritz but then again for £75 night for double room you get great value for money. Try out the pub next door... Keep in mind you're in Central Dublin and there will be a bit of noise.
It didn't worry me too much but if you have mobility issues you may find the climb up the stairs a bit much... Take earplugs
friendly staff, good location - 10 min walk to temple bar clean
room had push taps so you had to wash your face with one hand or use both hands for 2 seconds. very weak shower which was sometimes cold, cold room
A five minute walk from the bus or train station, with friendly welcoming staff this guesthouse is ideal for travellers, both business and tourists.
Music from the bar below went on a little late.
The lady at the desk lent me her umbrella so I could go shop while my room was made ready. There is no lift so the handyman carried my case to the third floor for me.
Street side was a bit noisy with the pub underneath.
The location is very handy.
We have to change room for our second night. The first room was extremely small. Both bathrooms very small. Both rooms noisy.
The location was phenomenal!
We think there was black mold in the corner of the bathroom and the window was only single pane, so the street noise came right in (3 floor up)
This is not a Holiday Inn, its a nice little slice of Ireland. It's older but has great character, a very welcoming staff, and the great benefit of having a very nice restaurant and traditional Irish Bar. We made use of all the accommodations. It is very central to the best things to see and do in Dublin. We walked to Temple Bar, Guinness Store house, Trinity College, Grafton St. shopping, train and bus stations and several parks. The free bus back to the airport is a plus. The staff made us early breakfast when we needed an early start
The only real drawback is the lack of a lift. We were on floor three for our first stay and on floor two the second. The walk with luggage is a bit of work, but we were a family of six, (grandparents, parents and kids) and we managed fine. We had adjoining rooms which was nice
Location is very convenient for city centre. Close to airport bus drop off and pick up. Also very convienient for city and docklands bus tours.
Only small moan toilet took ages to flush and then only after a few efforts and toilet roll holder not in most convienient position and screws needed to be tightened to to wall.
the hotel is easy to find , specially to anyone who knows the GPO, the staff are nice, the comfort is excellent , I have been to big hotels like crown plaza, Radisson blu, maldron hotels but celetic is worth the money. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I'll recommend it to anyone at anytime
The kitchen staff were very nice.
Rough area, noisy pub somewhere nearby belting out rebel songs, noisy guests, over priced, need I go on?
Great location, great staff, great food, great music.
The staff at his comfy little hotel were some of the friendliest and most helpful that I have ever met. The dinner at Le Bon Crubeen, the restaurant at the Celtic Lodge, was first rate. Delicious. And quite an interesting menu. Well worth the visit.
Great location in the city north centre. Staff extremely obliging. Breakfasts were first rate.
Room was very small. No lift.
I had a lovely stay..everything was great very close to town and bus station. Would definitely come back again.
Great location Comfortable room Plenty of fresh towels
Wifi a bit spotty Water pressure in shower quite low
Free wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff
Nothing to say :-)
We liked the location and the friendly staff. The Celt pub and restaurant were great. Fabulous atmosphere.
The room was very noisy because of the pub below. The bathroom was tiny and there was a large patch of mould in the corner of the bedroom which was off-putting.
Good location. Friendly & helpful staff. Inside passage to restaurant & bar. Convenient to airport.
Too much street noise late into night. No elevator/lift. All rooms above ground floor. Too many steps. Okay for young ones but not older ones. Shower stalls too small. No ledges for soap, shampoo, etc. Place needs a renovation.
Perfect location for exploring central Dublin. Friendly staff. Nice Irish breakfast.
Noisy bar below my room with loud music and singing until 4am. Mattress on bed completetely worn out with the springs digging into me all night. It should have been replaced years ago.
The staff were most helpful with all things. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Proximity to main street of Dublin, tram, bus services was great. Online booking of tickets to attractions and bus tours was easy and they have a wifi printer!
The stairs (no lift) and there are 3 floors. The noise from the street at night especially in the front rooms. The walls are fairly thin, but most visitors are only there to sleep and shower.
Clean room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was brilliant and wifi was fast. Very nice stay
Room was a bit small and the view out of the window was terrible, piles of rubbish.
Proximity to Paddywagon HQ where we were travelling from and good restaurant facilities..
Shower room too cramped.
The location was excellent for all the local spots to visit. And the paddy wagon was really good picking up and dropping off from airport. Can't wait to come back
There was nothing to dislike
