Very poor hotel now I sometimes stayed in the hotel before and was lovely.. It's not anymore(( they restructured the hotel but the rooms are very old.. The table inside is unstable, the armchair is broked, bed is old.. So not comfortable at all and I was annoyed.. The breakfast, that was lovely before is not good now, even if the maid was nice and kind

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The Hotel is older and holds a certain charm that is not available at more modern hotels.

Central location -free parking.free entertainment ie music in bar. Excellent breakfast included.friendly staff. Old building with lift only available to 1st floor -one area. You then have to make your way up down up several levels with very poor access. We came across a young woman tring to man handle disabled parent and wheelchair small child, and buggy up a staircase with no ramp.

We were attending a wedding in another hotel and we liked the idea of being near to the shops and also because of the leisure facilities. We were very disappointed when we returned to the hotel from the wedding to find that we had no water whatsoever in the taps and no water to flush the toilet I rang to reception and ordered a few bottles of water and these were delivered promptly I must say so no complaints there. There was also aproblem the next day and the leisure centre was affected as the steam room was off and the showers were freezing cold

Good location Hotel not suitable for anyone with mobility or health problems. As the hotel had a lift i wrongly assumed it would be disabled friendly. There is a lift but it only goes to the rooms . There are stairs to the bar, and dinning room. There are stairs everywhere even to the rooms.I was dissapionted as i had ask bfor low floor close to the lift . I had told about my husband using oxygen and also spoke to the hotel reception no one mentioed stairs. Hotel probabley good for others.

Location was excellent - close to many restaurants and bars around the centre of the town. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Tea/Coffee making facilities would have made the room more pleasant but this was not a major issue.

Doorman was very pleasant and good hospitality skills. Good location. I thought the hotel was quite dated. The main door of hotel was shut at 12o'clock at night and we had to ring a bell to get in. The doorman was very pleasant and helpful though. Didn't enjoy the breakfast. Little choice, food half cooked and slow service. We had to go to a pub for entertainment Saturday night. All in all it was our poor choice

Caroline, at the front desk, made us feel well cared for from the moment we entered the building. Side note re: Offering private touring services through the hotel I had arranged for a driver to take us around the countryside during our trip, and the wonderful person, a licensed driver, turned out to be Caroline's brother. It was through my search at how to get out to Glencolmcille, and the response I received from Cath there at info@glencolmcille, that I found Martin Carr. He is an asset to the county, and we felt so fortunate to have his services available to us. I would encourage the hotel to include private tours from the hotel in order to see all that Donegal County has to offer. Since we had arrived by bus, there was no other way for us to have seen so much of the beautiful coastline and learn about the dolmens. It was luck, and taking a chance on the internet in looking up a town near the dolmens, that we found Martin!

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The service in the bar, for food, was very good and we had a lovely time with the bar staff. The food was good and very plentiful and very reasonably priced. The hotel is situated on the Main Street so close to the shops. The view from our room was lovely, out over Donegal Bay, pity the weather wasn't good. I will go again. Parking is a problem. Yes there is a car park down the street which is free for customers, but is is a walk up a hill, and for anyone with difficulty walking quite a walk.

The location could not be beat. We were right in the middle of the town - near everything. The staff was most friendly and helpful. Every request was met. And, the value of the room was fantastic.

Staff were all friendly and smartly turned out. Breakfasts were as much or as little as you wanted. Cooked breakfast was a nice clean, non greasy fry, all hot. Decore was all smart and looked fairly fresh. Good location for other bars& restaurants. Council Car park was a bit of a walk and although ticket was provided by the hotel it was down the road and not part of the Hotel.
