Very friendly staff. Library bar is superb and comfortable. Rooms surprisingly up to date and very well cleaned and ketp. The whole hotel has a wonderful oldy-worly feel of old fashioned hospitality - just with modern comforts in the room. The location of the hotel is superb! However, because we booked at a reduced rate on booking.com, they gave us a room at the very end of one corridor which was directly above the club and it kept us up till 3am when we had to get up at 5 for our flight! spoilt our trip completely and we felt that, had we paid the usual price, we would have goten a better room. They could have done this as half the hotel was empty? I was going home to my home town though & would always prefer to stay here if we could get a better room next time. |

Central indeed. Anywhere downtown is in reach, Grafton Street, Temple Bar and Whelan's which is where I was heading. Great value for money! The airco vent right outside my room made an awful noise all night. Earplugs may be a good thing. Mattress is very springy, so if you can't handle that, you may want to look for an alternative. It didn't bother me so much. Oh, and the bar was closed very early, unfortunately, as it's a great place to hang out in for a late night drink. |

Nothing because they forwarded me to a different Hotel, without noticing me in advance. In case such happenes It might be not a big deal to write an e-mail before the arrival, so I can reserve a different Hotel, and don't have to exept what they offer at my arrival. Minimum would be that they offer a better value hotel, not a hotel at lower level or same level at the same price. So never again. I know such can happen but they should inform you in ahead. (Toilet pipe broke :-) that was the case) |

Excellent location. Really friendly and helpful staff. No water in our first room and only a trickling in the basin on the second but a remarked improvement in the shower. Both rooms suffered from noise - but then we were in the City centre - so under the circumstance3s it is to be expected. |

The big room and the separate bed for the kid. The cupboards are big and well located. The view from the 4th floor not too bad. We could not sleep at all during the night, which is a pity for a price of €159 as there was music the all night and the isolation of the hotel is horrible. When our neighbour was snooring or sneezing it was as if he was in the same room with us. Horrible, a pity that we can't get refunded !The food for breakfast was not good at all. No taste. The service staff were not friendly, no smile ... what a customer service! No bath soap and shampoo provided, we had to buy some. The television were not working properly, always coming back to Sky news even if we were choosing another programme! Not enough lights in the room, too dark. |

the girl on reception on friday night was very helpful and friendly, however our problem was not solved. our bathroom floor was covered in water on arrival thursday night, a member of staff and i presume the night manager just put towels under the sink, and assured us it would be fixed on friday, however when we came back to the hotel friday evening the room had been cleaned and there was water covering the the bethroom floor again, when we reported it again at reception, again only towels were put under the sink. as i said the lady on reception was very nice, but my problem is the fact that we reported the problem thursday shortly after arrival and the problem was still there when we were leaving 2 days later. |

The hotel was in a perfect location for a short city break - watch out for the pubs in Temple Bar - very expensive - 19 euros for a bulmers and a vodka and diet coke! The hotel was good, lots of traditional charm, although a bit rough round the edges (the lift is not for the faint hearted abd the corridors are a bit oppressive). The room was comfortable with a big double bed. The staff were friendly and we got to check in at 11:30am. Overall I would definately recommend this hotel. There was a problem with the bathroom - the shower tray wouldnt drain so every couple of minutes we had to turn the shower off, let it drain and turn the shower on again! |

They let me check in at 10.30am and comfortable bed Really noisy location - not from voices but loads of clattering from lorries unloading outside supermarket opposite and lorries beeping when reversing. All at 1am, 2am, 3am,4am.. Also very creaky floorboards in room above and on landing outside. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you like a good nights' sleep. |

its position . very central. very friendly reception staff. they were always so helpful day and night. nothing was a problem to them. thanks. only thing was the room was a bit small for three beds, also at night, it tended to be quite noisy, but we were right above pubs after all. Also would have loved to have more water pressure in the shower |

The room was clean and a good size with a large comfortable bed. The library bar is most unusual. The room only had a small LCD TV but could easily have taken a much larger one |
