WE WERE AT FRONT OF HOTEL ON THE 3TH FLOORAND THE NOISE ON THE STREET ALL NIGHT LONG WAS JUST AFULL..
Location location location very friendly and helpful staff library bar wi fi good bed
room very hot and when windows opened very loud fan noise from outside, portable fan helped boom boom from a club underneath started at midnight!
This grand old hotel is still shining bright. Classic 1800's decor is well maintained. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Fantastic location. Close to great shopping, food and center of the city. Can't say enough good things about this place. What a GREAT value!
Small pokey room. Shower barely big enough to enter.
Great location Room size was brilliant Extremely clean
Far too warm without air conditioning or ability to open windows much Staff were pleasant but disinterested generally
Location can't be beat. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It was on the older side. It was very pricey. There really weren't any additional amenities, which I would've expected for the price.
We found the hotel pleasant and comfortable. We had a suite, which was a spacious bedroom, a dressing area and a huge bathroom, with a vast Jacuzzi bath and shower. Comfortable bed
It's on a corner, with a road on 3 sides, so not the most peaceful location. However, we shut the windows at night and weren't disturbed, but we were on the quieter side of the hotel.
old and cleanlines and room is very small , there is no any view
Room was not cleaned very thoroughly. Fire alert at 6:30 am - total chaos. Most likely, the odd smoking night porter caused it. Breakfast not that great really. A lot of noise caused by the fans of the kitchen in the backyard. I found difficult to sleep with that noise. Fans ran all day until 1am or so.
Liked the old world charm and great location. Very helpful staff. Room very nice, larger than expected.
Location, friendly staff.
Fire alarm at 6:30 AM
Location was excellent, close to everything clean & tidy, friendly & helpful staff
bit noisy in the room i had near the street
loved it very inexpensive people who worked their very nice.
Proximity to city. Good size room.Very clean.Very helpful lady in reception.
Water pressure in shower not good.
We liked how convenient the location was for shopping and dining. The hotel has an old world feel about it, but the rooms are very basic and feel more like a motel than a hotel. As long as you know you are in a noisy location, and that this is a more basic hotel, then your will not be unhappy with the value.
Didn't like the very loud noise from the two pubs in the alley beside the hotel. A live outdoor music event in the alleyway drew large crowds and the music/noise made it impossible to sleep. After thirty-six hours travel the noise must have been really bad to keep us awake until 4 am. Staff moved us to another room for our second night stay, it was much quieter.
My room was towards South Great George's st, a very noisy one. The window was there just for flies not to come inside, absolutely no acoustic insulation. It felt like the buses were running through my room. There are windows nowadays that reduce the outside noise significantly but hotels (this one for sure) don't seem to care.
Room was tired and in need of decoration
Library bar and friendly reception staff
We had a terrible nights sleep. Delivery trucks through the night were noisy and drivers shouting
Staff very helpful
Single room small clustrophobic Bedside lamp not working no overhead light
Great restaurants and pubs all around
Noisy street. Need fan or central air
The hotel had a very cute old fashioned bar. It was in a perfect central location!
The street outside was very noisy (not the hotels fault) but we could hear perfectly everything that was happening in the street below which made it hard to sleep..
Location to sites.
No hot water, No amenities, Loud, 8X11" TV
Clean and large bedroom Staff very friendly
Very noisy and bedroom stuffy Outside noise too loud to keep window open
