Easy access to nearby tourist destinations and great shops.
Single room very small and dark on 4th floor. Tiny single bed. Over priced at 89 euro for room only.
Very central location. Library Bar on 1st floor.
Lots of sounds heard when people move above
The location was great
A bit dated, but then that's the whole charm of teh place
Location, location, location as well as the charm of the place
Close to everything bars , shops , restaurants ect ...
Location /bag drop When arriving on early flight /staff helpful
They were unable to accommodate our early check in request and even though we arrived early, there appeared to be no urgency to have our room ready any quicker
Loved the location and the old style feel of the place. The room (quadruple) was huge and spotless. The staff were efficient and pleasant to deal with.
The sound proofing was not very good so we heard the people in the next room and the floor boards creaking over head. It didn't spoil our stay though.
The hotel was in a fantastic location and was both comfortable and character filled.
I like the third floor better - less noise.
The library bar is great and I liked my room.
The bar on the second floor and the size of the bedrooms!
The noise at night was quite bad. I think it was worse because it was on the Easter Saturday and there were so many people out. We found it impossible to get to sleep so you might need earplugs. My friends on the other side of the building heard nothing at all!! but they did not have a view either and there room was very small.
Everything in the room was great, and it was very comfortable and clean. The location was brillant for getting to places in Dublin. The staff were amazing, very pleasant and very helpful. The bar was lovely and the drinks seemed to be cheaper than the normal pubs. I had continental breakfast one day for 5 euros and it was great.
I gort lost in the stairway
Old world charm and location
Fantastic value for such a central city hotel. In the heart of Dublin for cafe's,restaurants and pubs.
Great location, very good value for money, charming old-styled hotel. Clean and comfortable.
Only complaint was the room above the bar, but the staff helped immediately so I can't really complain about it....
I was very pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the bed. It is usually my first complaint regarding a hotel but the bed was actually pretty comfortable and I slept very well! The staff was very friendly and always very helpful. Our first two nights we were in a room directly above a bar and barely slept due to the noise. We contacted reception at 1 in the morning and they offered to move us to another room that night. They were very understanding. The hotel is close to absolutely everything, was very clean and the amenities were very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
Noisy disco next door
Some of the decor a little tired but very clean.
Location and the lovely lounge bar. Hotels has a traditional feel.
Worst shower i have ever ever had in a hotel.
all windows are single glazing and every word can be heard on 2nd floor for the entire night
room size was great, nice laid out
The room was very bog standard with the smallest ever window in a rather stuffy room. The toilet had urine on the seat and rim from the last guest and there were pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. The shower it's self wasn't bad but it was sealed with old silicone that had seen it's day and this made it look a little dirty also. The staff didn't really look that bothered to be there and we didn't feel exactly welcome at the hotel.
The only thing I liked about the hotel really was the very central location.
- excellent value - city centre location with every amenity comfortable old world lounge on first floor with real fires
Service in the Library bar was terrific, however the front desk staff weren't very welcoming or helpful.
The location was terrific in between Graton Street (for shopping) and the Temple Bar area (for food and pubs).
