Staff at the Charville Lodge Hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Rooms were quiet and we enjoyed a good night sleep both nights. The hotel was served by a regular bus service. Overall good value for money. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room but these were available for a charge near the reception. The hotel was not very central and buses or taxi's were a must.

The location was very good, bus stop right outside the hotel. The reception area was beautiful and very welcoming. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Furnishing was in poor condition (door handle and wardrobe handle were wobbly) and definitely needed renovation (mildew in the shower) Our bathroom seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned before our stay. Breakfast was too expensive and the selection very limited. (But there's a lovely little cafe just around the corner where you can have a wonderful breakfast) It looked like the hotel was in renovation process but our room wasn't.

Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. We only paid 50euro per night so it was a good location for that price, sheets/towels were changed every day - even the towels that were used once and were still hanging up. The tiles in bathroom were loose and some were cracked, there was a pump right outside our door that was very noisy and was on at random times all day/night...the shower pump didnt work the first two times but then did work after that. The heat was not on - we stayed there the last weekend in November - I thought every place in the country would have the heat on then! And the spare duvet in the wardrobe did not have a cover on it!! No facilities in room for tea/coffee...or in the hotel for free..there was a coffee machine you had to pay for (even for hot water). There was parking for 5euro a night but it was not in a secure carpark....it was up a laneway at the back of the hotel - anyone could walk there from the street. They requested that we leave our key at reception every time we left the hotel - when we came back there was someone new on reception (twice) and they just gave us the key when we told them the room number - without even a name check. There was also a female receptionist on and she kept theefront door locked all the time - we went out to the car to load it to check out and when we came back about 3minutes later we had to wait about that length for her to open the door because she was getting herself a cuppa. Its fine on a budget once you know what you're getting. Also its about a 15min brisk walk from the city centre (northside), if you are going to Trinity College/Guinness Storehouse/Kilmainham Gaol...allow 25-40mins from the hotel.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Had the ability to put the older kids in a separate room with three twin size beds while we stayed in a small double. Bus stop right outside in to the city. I wished breakfast was included in the rate, but it was available for a reasonable fee. Pub was in walking distance for nightcap. Staff was warm and friendly.

The Reception staff were pleasant and the discount cards for different places to go visit were a good idea. The carpark is at the back of the hotel which means you have to walk a short distance down a alleyway littered with beer cans etc to get back in the front door of the hotel as the back entrance is kept locked.

The price and the hotel is close to the centre of the city. we arrived about 23:00 hours on January and our bedroom had the open window and the radiator was closed. The next day we thought that it was a mistake but not... when we got to the room the window was another time open... we were 2 days and we were with a lot of cold.

Lovely location, helpful staff, very reasonably priced, comfy beds. Room was a bit small, with 2 single beds, although I suppose the price was quite reasonable and I only spent the night anyway.

Charleville Lodge is cozy and wonderful place, especially for the price. We paid €195 euro for a Twin room for a 7-day long stay and even ended up with a room featuring a Double bed and a Single bed en-suite included. The staff were extremely helpful and operated through the night making it extremely handy to get anything required, delivery of pizza included. Even the room cleaning service was excellent, as when we slept in they would leave a bag of towels and replacement wash room supplies outside our door. Location was just out of town so sound levels were at a pleasant minimum, although the walk to the center of Town could easily take 20-25minutes bus routes just located outside could have you there in 5minutes. All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable stay for people looking for comfort and affordability. Light bulbs missing Television very old and limited to fuzzy aerial channels cold shower when had heating on needs thicker walls

Very friendly, breakfast options were excellent, they have taken out the coffee and tea facilities in the room which was a pitty as you then had to pay 1 euro everytime you wanted a hot drink, I feel they should put this back for the guests. The location was good for the centre of dublin as a bus was right outside the hotel and very easy to catch, please make sure you have euros on you as you pay 4 euros each way (2 people). The staff were helpful and I would stay again on a short weekend break. No real complaint, but they should put the coffee and tea facilities back in the room.

This hotel had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. When here you would feel as if your staying at a luxurious guest house close to home rather than a hotel. Very comfortable and clean beds and bedrooms which should win awards. Fantasticly spacious living room with a broad library of travelling information for in and around Dublin. Happy and helpful hotel staff. Overall Charleville Lodge Hotel had everything me and my partner needed for an exquisite and relaxed stay in Dublin. 10/10

Great little hotel in Ireland. I really liked the soap and shampoo! Beds were clean. Staff helpful. Great full irish breakfast! Good location in suburbs a few minute drive from city centre. The building is old (like all the buildings in that neighborhood) and the window let a slight draft of air in but there was heat. The parking lot in back was narrow and hard to enter.
