A pleasant and quiet house with a warm welcome from the owner. Unfortunately we were not able to have dinner there so ate at a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was excellent.

The house is quirky and unusual with beautiful grounds and very dog- friendly outside, though they are not welcome inside. There is a lovely drawing room where it is possible to get to know other guests and play card games etc. The house is only 5 minutes from the ferry terminal which allows time to enjoy the delicious breakfast! It is just a shame the hotel only offers bed and breakfast, though there are plenty of eating places nearby.

We stayed at this small hotel due to it's close proximity to Rosslare ferry port. The house is in lovely condition and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Although this room was not cheap considering no breakfast was within price, we booked it due to the quality rooms and outlook. Would recommend it for the more muture traveller., High cost of breakfast although Ireland is expensive for food.

Very friendly and welcoming. Exceptionally helpful with ideas for where to eat later that evening and great to have somewhere to exercise our dog, both on arrival and the following morning. Comfortable room, interesting books to browse in sitting room and good early breakfast. Sorry we couldn't stop longer. We hope to be back and will recommend to others

It's a beautiful and atmospheric historic country house in a lovely setting, convenient both for Rosslare Strand and Rosslare Harbour. Our host was particularly welcoming and served us tea when we arrived, as well as a very good breakfast at 7.15am so that we could catch our early ferry to Wales. The garden is large and private, suitable for families to relax in and is very well kept. My husband thought our bedroom smelt damp but I didn't notice it.

Very welcoming. Super, original house. Very pleasant breakfast. Very hospitable host who gave us very helpful information and insight into our journey from the house on the day of departure. Very pleasant overnight stay. Pity about the Irish weather! Absolutely nothing to dislike

With a warm welcome at the door, a very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful house, wonderful room we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit. We visited the Lobster Pot which was recommended, 5 star. The grounds are well kept & we would definately stay again when visiting Ireland, but would like a few more nights to enjoy the local area. &Amp; sample the food at Churchtown House. Only 10 mins from the port, but the location is excellent for the countryside & beach.

The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, the owner was friendly and helpful. There was onloy one shampoo and one shower gel for two people that is not acceptable. There was no bar in the hotel and that should have been mentioned in the description as if I had known that I would not have booed the hotel.

Ambience. This property offers comfortable room located in a enviable quiet, immaculate garden setting. You can't walk to a location for evening meals, though this was not an issue for us as we had a car.

Everything was superb. The hostess, Patricia Cody was extremely welcoming on arrival. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished as was the entire building. The breakfast was outstanding with a large choice of porridge , cream and other cereals followed by a hot full Irish grill and choice of eggs. The location on 7 acres between Rosslare strand and the harbour could not be better.Patricia had pre-printed places of interest and directions for all guests. She even phoned ahead a restaurant we had booked to make sure our reservation was secure. We would go back anytime we would be in the area without hesitation. It was so good we stayed an extra third night. Overall, excellent, excellent, excellent !!!

Churchtown House is in the most beautiful setting just a short distance from Rosslare Ferry Port. The only downside to the hotel is that there is not a small bar where we could have had an evening drink and enjoyed the lovely grounds. However, we were directed to Cushen's Pub just up the road where the 'pub food' was of an exceptional quality and reasonably priced. As above, only the lack of a small bar where we could ahve enjoyed the surroundings.

Churchtown House is absolutely beautiful...peaceful, charming, and spotlessly clean. The welcome was wonderful, with the owner booking a fantastic restaurant for our large family group. The children played in the beautiful gardens and I really recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near Rosslare.

Churchtown House is very well situated for the Fishguard/Rosslare ferry crossing. We use that crossing ourselves now just so that we can book a room at Churchtown. We have nothing but high praise for it. We feel like guests there rather than 'customers'; it is a most attractive and comfortable house which offers peace and quiet, marvellous breakfasts and a beautiful garden to stroll in. Our host is an extremely nice man, very welcoming, very interesting to talk to. A most happy experience.
