Great location, and staff was very helpful, they charge a low price for towels, but it's close to all and I don't know what other reviewers were talking about but this place looked newly renovated, our room was immaculate.

The night porter was extremely unwelcoming almost to the point of being rude. There are so many passages, stairs - very unsuitable for a traveller with bags. I booked an en suite room.It was the most basic room I have ever stayed in - there were no actual lights in the bedroom. (Well there were lights on the ceiling but no light switches, I had to make do with the bathroom light) There was no press, wardrobe, table. Just a bunk bed and one chair. (I'm guessing the legal requirement) The sink taps and shower tap were those that have to be constantly pressed to produce a flow of water. So in order to have hot water for a shower you have to endure at least five minutes of cold water. The rooms themselves were barely clean. This is the type of place that makes me ashamed to be Irish; that tourists should experience this! I have stayed in private rooms in a number of hostels in Dublin and have to say that all were perfectly fine (some were very nice indeed) Citihostel should be ashamed!

Even though I received a confirmation e-mail from booking.com, the hostel had no evidence of my reservation on their system when I arrived. The room I was given (which wasn't what I had booked) also wasn't very clean, there was a jar of jam and a jar of mayonnaise left in the room from the previous occupants!

Location was good, staff were available and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.

Room smelled stale, bathroom in bad repair, not too clean. Someone's laundry was hanging in the shared shower for three days. Chip crockery, meagre breakfast. Lighting in bedroom awful. Dim.

They didn't have our reservation, after some discussion with a receptionist, he made a search and finally found it, but there was no double room available for us (I booked double room). So we got twin (bunk bed) room. There was a box of cereal and some milk for the breakfast left on the table in the kitchen (for all the guests to share). Not very clean under the bed.

it was kind of cheap, but we stayed in serveral hostels for the same price with a better quality... included breakfast (quality rather low) (toast, orange marmalade, instant coffee, hot chocolate powder, butter, cornflakes, milk) about a 15, 20 min stroll to downtown

we stayed in the 2nd building around the corner the room/building was quite old, low standard. we did not see the main building except of reception - no info on that. no soap in soap dispensers in shared toilet, no paper towels. no bin in the room no tea towels in the kitchen fridges were dirty generally quite unloving breakfast: one half-broken toaster - 7 people were toasting their toasts with that thing - annoying. staff at reception - seemed to be a bit irritated (or stressed?) at check in at check out - 15 people and just one staff member - poor lady.

The room was not cleaned. The bedsheets were yellow and the mattress was not confortable at all. The three bathrooms in our floor were disgusting, specially the ceiling. And two packs of Kellogs cereals, two bottles of milk and bread is not considered to be a continental breakfast. The price was not that cheap to get that what we got. Definetly, it is worth it to pay more and stay somewhere else than in a place like this.

The staff was nice. The place was quiet in the night so no loud neighbours.

The bed was awfull,you couldn't sleep well because the bed was very unbalanced and you could feel every spring of the bed on your back. The shower didn't work very well. The bathroom was freezing cold. The breakfast was very poor forexample it would have been nice to get something else on your bread that just butter and jam,so it wasn't really continental breakfast. The wireless didn't work most of the time and when it did it was slow like granma. The amount of money we paid for the stay was way too much of the quality of the place.

Location was ok.

Toilets were filthy. Room was worse than prison cell. Noise was incredibly loud. Dodgy clientele, one man was kneeling in hallway praying and wouldn't allow me pass.

Room description did not match booking.com, stayed in a different building than what described in booking.com, toilet and room very dirty.

We stayed in two types of room. The ensuite was good. Not spacious, but reasonably clean, and with personal bathroom. The double room with shared bathroom was good as well. It's within walking distance from Dublin city centre. (20-30 min)

The problem came when we had to use the commom areas (toilets, kitchen and dining room). It was disgusting. It seems like they really don't care that their kitchen is full of insects, and rotten food. The toilets are disgusting, as well. I am sure nobody had cleanned it for weeks. The staff was average. There was a woman that was kind of rude, but she was the only one. TIP: I recommend this hostel only if you are staying in an ensuite, and not planning on using any of the commom areas.

Not very central location, but all great places are just 10-15 munites walk!

Free wifi

Very unclean, girlfriend is covered in bedbug bites. The staff were not friendly and the breakfast and kitchen facilities were deplorable...deceptive advertising.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed in room 107 and there was some piece of machinery running all night.

I think that the pictures on site didn't show justice for this hostel; It would have been nice at least to have some clean sheets..not to mention about the entire aspect of the room/ hostel!
