The staff were graet and I really liked the gym and pool. The last time I stayed in this hotel was 6 years ago when the hotel was new. It has gotten a bit shabbier since then. Sign of the times I think, there was very few guests there. Still, it is good value for the price.

This is a fine, clean, comfortable and modern hotel with spacious rooms and a good breakfast. We had two problems, neither one the fault of the hotel, but beware! There was a wedding in the hotel and drunken guests screamed in the corridors during the night. Hotel staff spent considerable effort quieting these folks (who had registered into the wrong section of the hotel without the knowledge of hotel staff). Also, there are few restaurants in Claregalway, so be prepared for a just- adequate meal or a trip into Galway.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Claregalway and had a great time. We stayed on a b&b basis - breakfast was great and the staff very friendly and efficient. Eileen in the bar was particularly friendly as well as the reception and room service staff! (Actually, can't fault any of the staff!). We are going back to the Claregalway to attend a family wedding soon.

1.Excellent check in service. 2. Good restaurant and excellent service in the restaurant by a lady called Rinn, attentitive, courtous and helpful . Very friendly bar staff and good service.. I would stay in this hotel again and also recommend it to others. Free parking facilities available. Courtesy morning paoer. Perhaps the bath towels could be of better quality as befits the hotel

The friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Not too far from Galway city and convenient for travelling into Connemara. It had a leisure centre which had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. They offer treatments but we didn't avail of them on this occasion. The price of having breakfast in bed - it was 5 euro per person which made it a bit pricey - I think this was to discourage it.

I loved the Claregalway Hotel. We were quite surprised as the standards in this hotel are what you would expect from a 4 star. Our room was quite big, very comfortable and spotless. the Galway Now magazine was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was lovely, particularly great selection of bread and pastries. Staff were very friendly. Even though there was a wedding on in the hotel we didn't hear a thing.Would highly recommend this hotel for family with young children.

Bed was comfortable Breakfast was horrible. I could not eat the sausages as they were too rubbery, the puddings were rock hard, the scrambled eggs was completely tasteless. I tried a scone as i could not eat the fry and that was stale. Breakfast service was very poor. The heat through out the hotel was unbareable. The air con in the hotel rooms did not work. I felt like I couldnt breath in there.

I have stayed in the Claregalway hotel before and found it a wonderful experience. I did not enjoy my stay this time. The ground floor was a normal temperature. The first floor was uncomfortably hot. The toiletries provided were very budget and basic, just two large pump action bottles bolted to the wall contraining body wash and shampoo. My body wash bottle didn't work so I had to get out and use the one by the hand basin while showering. There was no body moisuriser provided which is usually standard in hotels. The door to the bathroom was broken. As the room was so hot, we left the windows open all night, hence it got a little chilly and I got up to get a blanket. In the blanket/pillow bag was a giant moth. Needless to say, i didn't use the blanket and closed the bag up again. The disturbed moth continued to flap about in the bag making noise, so I took the bag out and released him into the hallway, so I could get some sleep. Was disappointed with my stay. It wasn't restful or comfortable, and even though I've been very satisfied with my previous stay in the hotel, I may think twice about returning.
