Clare Inn Hotel and Suites  

The location was perfect for this trip and easy to find too.

It was a little too busy on the Saturday with lots of functions which made parking a problem.

I thought it was in a nice quiet place.i thought there might be more music to entertain the people

we had a very relaxing break staff were great and food was lovely the hotel is very convenient for getting out and seeing county clare

Had a really great stay with friends while attending a wedding nearby. Staff were excellent and friendly and accomdating.

It was a very long walk to the room.

Staff and food were excellent.

Room where we stayed while comfortable was a little dated and too far from the smoking zone for my wife's liking.(Maybe a good thing.)

Very handy base for travelling around Co Clare and sightseeing. Children travelling with me were aged 7-16 years. There was a free children's club, available for a good many hours of the day. There was a jungle gym which was only €4 per hour. The swimming pool was available from 10am- 6pm and was also free. So plenty to keep the family busy. The breakfast was a self-service buffet, which was very generous.

I thought the family rooms we stayed in were a bit shabby. The bathrooms were very small. The hotel website said adult breakfast was €7.50 and the cut off age was 15 years, but at the hotel we were informed it was €10 and the age was 12 years and up.

It was awful the room was cold and the kitchen sink was dirty and the shower was the same.. The hotel was paid on arrival cash and the Hotel still took 165 euro from my account and it 6 days later and I still havent received my money..

We choose this hotel as it was cheap and close to Dromoland castle where we were attending a wedding.

The Ironing room is horrendous! It is called the family room so it has a fridge etc. It was filthy. The floor was unswept and the irons are completely useless. If they had a few decent irons for the hotel at least people could borrow and bring back to reception in case someone else wanted to use it.

Gone very run down!!!

The hotel is far away from the main road so it is very quiet.

Check out was 11am but from 9am house keeping came into our room 3 times!! They opened the door and then closed it, clearly waking us! It was obvious that they were trying to rush people out of their rooms so they could clean them. This also happened to our friends who were staying in a room nearby. They even had a "do not disturb" sign on their bedroom door but this did not seem to matter to house keeping staff. I was really annoyed about this obvious lack of respect for the hotels guests and complained at reception only to be told that "It must have been an accident". For this reason only I would not recommend this hotel.

The room we stayed in was clearly quite old and the walls were paper thin.. We could hear every movement from the room above and felt at points as though they would come through the ceiling.. The directions and getting to the hotel was also quite confusing, on the address listed for the Hotel it shows as 3 different areas..
