I'd booked a "superior double" assuming this meant a double bed but I was given a room with twin beds.
i like the refurbishments of the whole hotel very clean and new showers are excellent
Being allocated a room near the lift ,about 11.30pm-1.30am the noise of the list didnt stop undergoing refurbishment next to room allocated 4am boards flapping and banging in the wind ,i stay here quite often so just and couldnt really phone for a new room at this time putting it down to a one off (cant be helped ) i will be staying again
Always liked hotel and staff
Room at front too noisy, traffic ceaseless. Not much sleep and an early start, that was reason for staying.
Very Near Airport..
Car parking very expensive. Rooms very very far away from Reception..
Stayed here for one night last week, on route to NYC the next day. The reception desk crew were very helpful and friendly! The Bar area was just fine and you could get food, late in the evening. The bedroom was just fine and a nice shower also! A very smart courteous bus was provided to take you across to the airport, one minute away!! JJ
Friendly staff efficient shuttle bus service clean hotel which provides a very good service
Paintwork rather drab
Building works downstairs, a lot of noise from residents/function attendees.
All round good
Beautiful Rooms Friendly and helpful staff Pickup from and back to the terminal free of charge. Very close - walking distance to Dublin airport.
Food in the hotel was very expensive.
Every thing food was lovely in restaurant
Rooms are very cosy
We liked the convenience of the location to the airport. The room, whilst small was perfectly fine for us. The shower in the bathroom was the only thing we found fault with because there were no instructions with it and I ended up with a blast of cold water to my head and I had to dry my hair. There were no shower caps. The bar staff were v pleasant and helpful!
The shower, see above
Arrived on a late flight and left to catch a bus next morning.Reception staff were helpful and efficient and rooms clean and comfortable, hotel appears recently redecorated.
We knew where the hotel was and thought it would be quick and easy to walk there from Terminal 1.It wasn't. Our booking information hadn't advised that there was a shuttle bus transfer available.
StaFf were so lovely and helpful, especially the Spanish curtisy bus driver.enjoyed our evening meal.would have loved to have stayed longer. Valerie Magee N Ireland.
The location suited our flight times. The price was very reasonable.
The hotel has no character. Food service was slow. The room was hard to find...the signs conflicted with the Receptionist's directions such is not helpful when checking in late at night after a long flight.
Room temp tio high
Location, comfortable room.
I had a meal in the bar area. After waiting for 15 mins no waiter approached me to take an order so I asked the barman to send somebody over. This took over 20 minutes more. When I gave the order the food came quickly and was very tasty but the initial delay was not good.
Near airport and nice staff
Bed felt hard
The facility and staff where quite friendly and polite. The menu is good also, but I didnt get to eat in the restruant as it was not open on weeknights. The bar menu was good.
It took a long time for staff who where clearly NOT busy working but chatting to each other to notice you and actually serve you, on one occision I had to shout down the bar having waited some 5-10 minuites politely by a bar with one other person in it. The bed room had no upper lights in it and only lamps, it ment if I wanted to look at myself in the mirror or write or read anything i had to sit by them. Thought that was quite strange. I was given a twin room, the single beds are quite small and when I pulled the bed linen back to get into bed, the sheet and everything else came off with it, so I had to re make the bed, the flat sheet was too small for the bed. I didnt get a good nights sleep as I kept thinking I was going to fall out of the bed. They dont do extra toiliterys so if you need anything you have to use the vending maching or go to the local garage, not good for a 4 star hotel, its not advertised as an express and I avoid these types of hotels because of them being so basic.
Close to airport
Food not good
The service, location to the Terminal, the shuttle bus and parking.
Parking is an extra first night should be included in room price not added to the final bill on check out.
Everything! The check in friendly was efficient, the beds were very comfortable, incredibly clean room and bathroom, the wifi is very strong and staff were all very pleasant. Very impressed and will stay here again should I require a hotel at Dublin airport!
The firmer Clarion now the Maldron at Dublin Airport has improved greatly since the Maldron people took over. The hotel had become somewhat shabby and worn. It is now reenergised and the decor is simple with clean comfortable lines. Best of all is the value but best to book online as it does nit seem possible to get anything similar at the desk. I tried and failed sinking go online in the lobby!
For the price available on some websites there is nothing to dislike! I got a double room for 68 Euro. Only the curmudgeonly will find fault!!!
Location couldn't have been any better. We had an early morning flight to catch and the hotel was ideal for that. Nice well equipped room with a good shower.
We had booked for breakfast through booking.com and wanted to cancel it on arrival because we had to be at the airport earlier than we had thought - when we tried to cancel the breakfast we were told that we couldn't as it had been booked through booking.com - we were offered a breakfast to go instead which consisted of a very small bag with 3 items and the choice was fruit, muffins or croissants - poor value we thought. We had a twin room and the beds were a bit on the small side.
The location was Great. Just a short bus ride to the airport Room was just what we needed in terms of beds and general amenities. Staff couldn't have been more helpful with anything we needed.
I booked a family (triple) room. The room itself was fine but there was no lift down to the basement where the rooms were so we couldn't bring our own cases and we had to call for help up and down stairs. Also free wifi was very poor in the room. I had to sit in the corridor to get any signal.
