I have stayed there before. It is a good hotel when I am there on business Some of the rooms are a very long way from reception |

the scones! The bar was very dingy and depressing. Generally a very big hotel that lacks charecter and is void of atmosphere .We do not intend to stay in this hotel again. The exterior of this hotel is nice but the interior except for the foyer is disappointing. The Clarion hotel in Cork city is a much nicer place to stay. |

Very impressing arriving to Hotel and grounds. Check in was a bit slow. This is a very big hotel. and finding you way from the room to get breakfast we got lost twice. Room was big and clean not plush but good. The safe did not work and after reporting this fault it still was not fixed . Breakfast was good. Has a nice Stay Rate this hotel 6 out of 10 |

The staff. Not enough facilities - one bar, one bistro, no local/tourist information left in room. |

The hotel is vast - long corridors and need of refurbishment. My room was shabby , chair and carpet very stained, sticky substance on floor of bath. I asked to change rooms but was told hotel full as 3.30pm on a week day afternoon (300+ bedrooms!) Ordered room servcie which took an hour to arrive. I travel extensively on business and would not recommend staying here. |

The outside of the hotel is impressive being built of grey granite in a grand style, set in grounds. It was constructed as an asylum in 1848 and has undergone extensive renovation. The rooms are all different sizes and styles. Ours had a lounge room attached, which was enormous. The pool was clean and lively. The breakfast was a typical Irish fry up and was first rate. Fruit cheese and cereals were available. The staff were attentive and efficient. We did not eat in the hotel. Only a four minute taxi ride from the centre of Sligo. The meal options at night were a bit limited, but plenty choice in Sligo |

The comfort & look of the hotel and breakfast was good! We got there late and coudn't get something small to eat, even though the menu in the room I think said light snacks between 10pm-7am?? |

I liked the spacious bedroom and the fact that it was so clean. Food in the restaurant was beautiful and I also liked the large entrance halls with the very comfortable seating. I did not like the fact that there was no musical entertainment in the bar/lounge. Also our room was beside double doors in the hallway and when people came in during the night they banged loudly and I could not sleep. |

The building it self is amazing to look at. It was very clean and I really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. Iwhen I got my breakfast to my room in the morning it was absolutely frozen and ended up just eating my cereal and fruit. The receptionist was a bit rude in the morning when we were running a bit late leaving the room and said we would have to pay for another night if we were much longer., It was only 20 minutes. |

I felt welcome and comfortable there. I would not hesitate to visit again. The signage from the main road was non existent. Had I not had sat nav. It is doubtful whether I would have found you. |

hotel was very central. Room was a very good size. Liked the on site restaurants which meant we didnt have to travel for miles to find good food. Ate in the Kudos and found it to be exceptional and good value for money My 15 year old daughter was with us so we had a room with double bed and single bed but we seemed to be attached to another room with small children and it was very noisey because there was a joining door between the two rooms. We were up at 7.30 with crying children.... been there done that, needed and wanted a break from that. |

I was booked into the apartments, not the hotel which was not indicated at the time of booking. Because I was in the apartments, I had no tea, coffee or hairdryer in my room. When I rang down, it too over 90 minutes (and 3 phone calls) to get tea/ coffee delivered. Also internally the hotel is very badly signposted - signs in lifts are inaccurate, and the place is a maze so better signs needed |

Gym facilities were very good. We were upgraded to a suite by a friend, but we thought that it was suprisingly poorly sound-proofed. We coud hear people walking around upstairs. When we moved a chair in the living room we noticed the shell of a peanut and a hair bobble underneath the chair, so obviously not everywhere cleaned to the same standard. |
