Friendly staff, nice room comfy bed, leisure facilities are good. The bar only serves sandwiches and if you want something more you have to book the restaurant in the hotel, maybe they should consider doing light meals as well, this was only a problem as the hotel was about a 25min walk to the town not 5min as stated on booking.com. The main reason we booked the hotel was as it claimed to be so central to the town, would be more suited to guests driving to Sligo.

I thought the staff we met on our arrival looked under pressure and could have been more courteous. The swimming pool was filthy. (Our stay was over the first weekend in febuary). The family room we stayed in was cold and any window you sat near always seemed to have a cold breeze same in the residence bar.

It is very close to the town. Stag parties at weekend, which meant being woke at 1.30am, 3.30am, 6.30am, 7am as they retruned to their rooms. Very noisy. Expected family rooms to be at seperate end of hotel to party rooms.

I paid 80 Euros per night because theThe Hotel falsely claims that it is five minutes walk from the center. It was far from the center, and moreover there were no transportations near by. I had to spend over 50 euros a day just for using taxis. I asked for a refund of these taxi rides, but no one ever got back to me. Not Recommended At All !!!!!!!!

Nice hotel, nice rooms with friendly staff with great leisure facilities. There is a door dividing rooms and on the 2nd and 3rd night of our stay my parents were kept awake by a baby crying in the adjoining room and could hear everything the family were doing, Service in restaurant was poor, they did appear to be a bit short staffed. Also the hotel was a good distance from the Sligo town meaning a taxi was approx €8 each way

Very good accomodation Staff friendly and very caring. Food excelent and varied Shocked to find my room was occupied at time of my check in and access was handed out at desk as if everything was in order-- ---this has left a very bad impression on me re booking on line in future .The fact that I could gain access to a room already occupied gives me the impression that security and privacy and indeed efficiency is totally absent as shown in this instance.

The grounds of this beautiful 'old-type-castle' were stunning. All the staff took great pride in their work and were extremely friendly and helpful. Near for shopping, beeches, scenic drives. Lots to do and see for all the family. Our family room was great consisting of living/kitchen area, table chairs, comfy seats, tv, fridge etc. A separate double room ensured our adult privacy whilst within 'earshot' of the children who loved having their own space. Highly recommend this hotel as a family break and we'll definetly return. Though intend to return for a 'romantic' break and take full use of spa facilities etc. Looking forward to do so in near future. My ten year old son was reluctant to use swimming pool as his feet didn't reach the bottom of the pool!, though the children's pool was good for younger children it was too shallow for him and his eleven year old brother to swim in. After dinner-time/early evening were difficult to fill, a little family entertainment would have been ideal, though younger children did get story-time. Maybe it was a personal thing, but my 2 boys wouldn't be bothered to go into town even after an early dinner. They did enjoy the miniature golf!

very relaxing in a beautiful part of Ireland. County Sligo has everything close at hand, Mountains, rivers, countryside beaches ,lakes, villages, restaurants and pubs. Music is freely available at night in various locations. Entertainment at night in the hotel would have been appreciated.

My husband & I enjoyed a relaxing birthday weekend treat from our son. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival the receptionist said we had been upgraded to a suite. It's a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each morning as is up to 11.00am. Can't wait for a return visit - hopefully soon.

I liked the history of the place, the staff and the ease of relaxing there. I was upset that I found 1 nail clipping when taking my shoes off the carpet beside my locker. The lighting in the bathroom is non existant for guests and the shower is not strong enough when using same. We were also pleased with the bar food and disappointed there was no music on friday and the restaurant was not open. Keep up the extras...
