Friendly staff, great location, reasonable sized room.
Expensive on-site parking, a bit noisy due to thin walls.
5 minutes walk from top of O'Connell St Room refurbished to a good standard and comfortable size for family of four Good value as breakfast was within the tariff.
It still feels like a B&B undergoing a gradual upgrade, than a place that has found its market position and has now got it spot on.
staff beds very comfy location wifi
it's an old building but dispite that nothing to point out really
Friendly and welcoming staff
Felt a bit shabby overall and in need of updating. Had peeling wallpaper in the bedroom and the bathroom was a bit grubby. Would also have been nice to have had a wardrobe. I wouldn't have minded these things so much had the room not cost over €100 a night, which I felt was a bit steep for what you get. Seems to attract young people who have come to Dublin for a few nights out. I'm sure this is the case in every hotel, but I was woken every night in the early hours by shouting and door slamming. Although I did approach the group and they improved after that, I'm surprised no one came up from the desk as it was the first floor and clearly audible from downstairs.
clean and spacess
Comfortable apartment 15 mins from city centre by walking friendly staff
limited hot water (for shower) overpriced no lift, 3 floors hike
Loved the beds and the room decor, very luxurious. Staff were excellent, helpful and thoughtful automatically changing our room on arrival to the ground floor when they saw we had very heavy luggage and quick to assist with anything we needed.
Nothing, all good.
Hotel was basic but in a good location for City centre walk.
I picked this hotel over others due to the secure parking offered, this however was just the back of the hotel which could accommodate two cars and had an awkward reverse out the following day. Our room was up five flights of stairs with no lift access, not a problem for myself but there was no mention of this on booking so glad I had nothing particularly heavy to carry.
Free wi-fi 24hr reception
The comfortable bed, the location, the service
Confort in room Location Staff is amazing Cosy place
No lift Breakfast could be later than 10am Some rooms could be warmer
The warm receptionist
Really small bathroom/shower room
Central location. Very friendly staff ..comfortable bed..
Bed was very comfortable. Room was warm as it was very cold when we visited so was lovely to come back to a cosy room.staff very friendly and helpful
Shower not the best but passable. Breakfast was a bit of a wait and beans were cold every morning however they did accommodate vegetarian requests
The room is close with reception. So,had noises always.
Enjoyed our one night stay. Room 18 next to kitchen was clean spacious warm and comfortable. Staff were polite and professional. 5 min walk to O'Connell St . Good breakfast with a pleasant atmosphere in the morning . Recommended.
Amazing location, less than 5 minutes from O'Connell street, 10 minutes from bus station, very good beds, helpful staff, offering 1st floor room instead of top floor, amazing price.
Tiny and a bit dirty bathroom.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and car parking was convenient
Great breakfast and location for temple st hospital and O Connell st.
Room was nice and bed was comfortable.
Avoid room 17. It's practically in reception and you will hear noise all night. Not sure why the receptionist had to make several calls to her friend at 7 in the morning but I was unfortunate to have to listen to it.
Great service, polite staff,we left our luggage once we checked out with staff while we toured Dublin, clean room and very spacious! Have already recommended it to friends!
Parking Only a 20 min walk to the city centre Chinatown nearby Great service Decent breakfast
Tiny tiny shower
We spent 6 wonderful nights at Clifden Guesthouse and the location was perfect. It was just a short walk to O'Connell Street but removed enough from the busy street so it was quiet at night. The staff was extremely friendly. The hot breakfast was delicious and made to order. The room was cozy and cleaned each day when we were out. When we were in the room and didn't need housekeeping, they asked if we needed anything and happily restocked our tea, coffee, and milk.
The shower cabin was very small and it was difficult to control the temperature of the water. Sometimes it was too cold and sometimes burning hot.
We visited just before Christmas for a few days and we were very well looked after. The staff were all extremely pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent. Our room was clean, tidy and very well presented. We will visit the Clifden House again and we will recommend it to others.
The drainage in our room in the basement was very slow, but wasn't a major problem.
The lady whom serve us our breakfast the next morning was all friendly and would have been nice to see her wearing a uniform instead of just a sleeveless and trousers.
