All rooms with Seaview Spa rooms and relaxing room with seaview good hairdryer in my room - very unusual in a hotel hot tub with bay view bathroom luxurious
ate in the bar and food could have been a little better. but it was enjoyable and this was minor
We had a very enjoyable stay, everything was perfect, the staff, the accommodation, the food. Already looking forward to our return visit.
Everything apart from the very poor wifi connection in bedroom
Kept losing wifi connection. Made it almost impossible to download anything.
I loved everything about our stay. My wife and I and young son had the most amazing time. From the moment we entered the hotel ,till the moment we left we were treated like royalty by the fantastic staff. Im sorry I didnt get alot of their names but Patrick and Nelson in the restaurant were a credit to the Hotel. The front of house were excellent too. overall a very enjoyable 3 days. Would love to go back again.
One thing and its being picky. the evening menu in the bar never changed over the three days. would have loved a change of menu ,maybe after a couple of days. That said, the food was excellent
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were very courtiers and friendly. The views were fantastic, the cliff walk was very enjoyable. The food was excellent.
I didn't find the bar a place where We could relax and have a drink.
I really liked everything! Great staff who were friendly and helpful. The views are just magnificent and sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the sea is magical.
The staff were so accommodating, they knew we were on our honeymoon and gave us a card and a little cake at dinner!
I don't know if it's a negative but the hotel is really really quiet, perfect if you need a quiet escape and we did, but the bar could do with a little bit of life in general.
Stunning location and attentiveness of staff.
The main restaurant was closed. We were looking forward to the Michelin awarded food. The bar menu food was acceptable. But we need to sample the main offering.
The whole experience from the moment we arrived was first class. The rooms were perfect, bar and restaurant were fantastic, spa wonderful and the staff were on top of their game.
1 minor mark was the service for dinner in the bar was good, but not fantastic. Plates could have been cleared away quicker and the bill had to be adjusted. It didn't really matter though as the rest was so brilliant.
Location. Staff and service Rooms Everything was lovely
We loved the location ...great views from the balcony and we had a lovely cliff walk in beautiful winter sunshine. The food was good but not spectacular...too many peas!! The room was lovely great ,bed..coffee machine and lovely armchair and lighting. the bathroom was fine. the gentleman in the restruant gave excellent service..
Our wash hand basin was too low...think we were in a modified bathroom and did mention this to the receptionist. Room was very hot and we couldnt find any way to turn it down other than to use the fan .
The view was amazing.
Unfortunately I did not sleep a wink! The pillows were awful. I had a creek in my neck all day Monday & my other half his back was very sore.
The staff were exceptional with their hospitality, genuine friendliness and evident knowledge of the area. Great location, great food and great hotel! We've already booked our stay for next year.
STAFF EXCEPTIONAL. VIEWS EXCEPTIONAL. ROOMS AND BATHROOMS EXCEPTIONAL. A TRULY RELAXING EXPERIENCE
WE FELT THAT AS THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED AND ALL THE EATING WAS DONE IN THE BAR AREA, THERE SHOULD BE A "DAILY SPECIAL" TO RING THE CHANGES TO THE MENU
Superb restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. Good reasonably priced wine list
Spa facility could do with general refurbishment. Shore facing exterior would benefit from same although given its exposed nature is bound to suffer annually and hence tends to be revenue-sapping without corresponding revenue-generating return
Everything. Excellent friendly Staff. Nice room. Food was the best I have tasted.
The Cliff House Hotel is a Top Class hotel with excellant Staff, fantastic location , Strongly recommend this hotel to everyone
The staff were outstanding, a truly Irish Welcome. The location is stunning. The ambience is very warm and comfortable in the rooms., with a great view of the sea.( the unique selling point of this property)
The Spa facilities fall short of 5 star. The gym hardly warrants the description( a very small space with 3 machines.). The food in the bar was ok , but did not live up to the reputation .. The lobby was inclined to be cold.
The staff were very friendly. The view was incredible. The hotel is lovely and small and relaxing
Superb clifftop location, for views and walking. The sound of the sea, and the fresh sea air, are rejuvenating, yet exhilarating. Wonderful staff, who treat each guest with respect and concern. From the moment when a young man [in simple uniform] hurried down the steep hill to carry the luggage for two elderly ladies,I felt like a guest at an aristocratic Country house. The 'Butler' welcomed us in a friendly manner and introduced other staff. Without exception, the staff were helpful, without being at all intrusive. Any request was considered, and resolved.eg the hotel provided a car to take us to Youghal, as the public transport was inadequate. The interior design of the hotel, is simple, understated elegance, with a beautiful use of colours which reflect the surrounding area. The 'infinity pool' lived up to its title, with a beautiful sea view, and easy access to outdoor hot tubs. We visited each morning, before breakfast, and had the facilities completely to ourselves.! Wonderful massage and facial, which I heartily recommend. Great food in the Bar restaurant, including good gluten-free options The ambience of Cliff House is calm, quiet and relaxing., and the small number of rooms/guests, adds to the atmosphere. Guests speak to each other, as if they share a hidden secret, and indeed they do. Cliff House Hotel is a delight, so don't change a thing.
I enjoyed every thing. It is an expensive Hotel, but it offers value for money. I have decided not to be sad that I couldn't afford to stay longer, but to be very grateful that I came. I celebrated my 64th birthday in style. Thank-you
the concierge who seemed to be a local man was wonderful. a fantastic example of what customer service should be.
Our Cliff house experience started as soon as we drove the car in. You are met with a valet who will park your car for you. The check in staff are so helpful and bring you to your room whilst giving you background on the hotel. We booked a suite which was stunning, double balconies with incredible views of the Ardmore bay. As somebody who works full time in Dublin city, the first thing I noticed was how quiet and serene it was. The spa is gorgeous and the pool area perfect. I will definitely be going back.
I can't find much bad to say but the only thing I didn't like was that the bar menu was a little expensive. With the main restaurant being Michelin starred, it wouldn't suit most budgets so it would be nice if the bar menu had some cheaper options.
I brought my wife here as a surprise for her 30th Birthday. I had a few special requests which were pretty awkward for the staff. Norma in customer services organised everything for me, she really was amazing. Once we arrived at the hotel Celina insured that everything ran smoothly, she was brilliant. All the staff were a pleasure to deal with. The Cliff House Hotel is not cheap, but as is with many things in life you get what you pay for and this place is worth every penny.
