Clonmel in South Tipperary is situated along the River Suir and nestled in the Comeragh Mountains. Clonmel is the ideal base from which to visit a wide range of wonderful attractions. These not only include the breathtaking scenery at the Glen of Aherlow, but Cahir Castle, the Swiss Cottage, Mitchelstown Caves and cycling, golf, walking and equestrian activities.
Rent a bike, head off on a casual ramble in the Nire Valley or spend the day at Clonmel Racecourse. Neighbouring counties Cork, Clare, Limerick, Waterford, Kilkenny, Laois, Galway and Offaly are easily accessible from Clonmel.

The room was a good size and clean and new. The bar area was good to relax after a days work. The network cable they gave me was only 2 feet long so I could not use at the desk. Longer cables would be better but full marks for free internet. |

room was comfortable and the breakfast was good sunday lunch was served in the bar as a carvery type thing but the food was absolutely terrible (this is the second time I've seen the food here of such a low standard) they used to do a proper lunch menu which was very good, so don't know why they changed. |

The hotel was beautiful. The room was large and (mostly) clean. The lady at the front desk was welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a wedding going on and we were kept up by the music till 3 am (we were on the first floor). There was also a sewer smell in the bathroom. It is a new building and so these aspects were a little disappointing. |

It was well signposted when I got to the town and easy to find. The check in was easy and the reception staff member was efficient. A snack in the bar was very reasonably priced. The breakfast was a good price and the charge for having it in the room was very reasonable (Euro 3) . The bed was comfortable with a good mattress. The views were appalling of a traveller encampment and a motorway; there was bird dirt on the window to make the views worse. We closed the curtains in order not to have to look at this view and because there was no airconditioning the room became excessively hot. |

The leisure centre facilities were excellent. Our room smelt of stale smoke, despite it being in the non-smoking area of the hotel. The bar was very untidy, the staff didn't clear oor table or any other tables. |
