The staff was excellent and very caring, and the pub and meal were really nice
I arrived after a long day to a very cold hotel and room, none of the radiators were working neither in the corridors are the room, and the water was ice cold. And the stairs very badly lit. A member of the staff came to switch it on after my attempt to bath, but radiator in the bathroom never worked.
close to port
Tired - smelly staircase
Friendly staff, went above and beyond to make us welcome. Gave advice on places to go and where to avoid. Bus stop just outside with direct bus to town. Enjoyed location, nice view of the bay and lovely walk on promenade after hustle and bustle of the city.
Loved the staff and the warm of the lobby & restaurant/bar. A great place to start and end your day!
Location is excellent on a main bus route. We were given a room with an amazing sea view. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were so friendly and real good fun.
The colour of the bathroom suite wasn't nice.
staff was very polite and helpfull. restraunt excellent .food could have NOTbeen better .nice settings inside .RESTRAUNT very cold .needs more heating.
WHERE DO I BEGINE .when i arrived it was freezing cold. NO heating on in the room, my partener wanted to have a bath,BUT the bath plug was missing. The carpet was covered in stains and paint also the chairs. I booked a room with a double bed and ended up in a room with three beds.have traveled a lot this has to be one of the worst hotels i have stayed in. WILLnot be reccominding this hotel to anyone .TOTALY spoiled my supprise wkend for my partener.Needs to have the heating sorted, asit took over an hour for the room to get warm
-both restaurants -service -room quality -bed comfort -wifi stability -staff service
-nothing, I will come back to this hotel next time I'm in Dublin.
I liked the bar and restaurant was very comfortable and staff very helpful
I used the stairs and felt the carpet was grubby and there was a stale smell
for a short stay , it's just great .
nothing not to like
I've stayed here a good few times, staff are great, location is ideal for me - a bit out of town but in a nice area by the sea and only 10min from the centre. They have always ticked all the boxes, good room, good shower, good value, no hassle.
First time I'd had the big room above the main door- fantastic views but this room is short of furniture... Just a wee couch maybe there is plenty of room for it! I didn't love the changes to the bar area either, but maybe that's just me.
The staff is amazing
Carpets on the stairs have a terrible smell. Rooms smell of cigarettes (carpets from other times probably).
The staff were so helpful, even sorting out my new phone for me! They remembered how particular I am about how I like my drink and the food in the bar is lovely (we didn't eat in the restaurant). The bar is attractive and the location excellent, overlooking the Irish Sea but short bus ride from the centre of town.
Perhaps some new beds might be a good idea?
Ease of access to port; it took us five minutes to drive there early in the morning. Great bar downstairs. Bed was one of the more comfortable ones we had throughout Ireland.
The whole hotel had a strange smell it it. There was blood on one of our towels (we just shared a towel, didn't worry about complaining to management as we were only there one night). Nothing of interest nearby.
The staff was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Their service is perfect. The room was cozy and confortable, with beautiful bathroom tiles. The food was great too.
Wi-Fi situation could be much better. The location is a little remote, but if you're looking for some quiet time to relax this would be the place to go.
Very close to bus stop. Very helpful and kind staff. reception open 24h (at least on the day of our departure). Great bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good value for money
carpets in the halls smelled weird
Car Park awkward to get in and out of
The restaurant is brilliant, each meal was very delicious! The staff is very nice and helpful. Good location - parking available and bus stop to the centre of the city is very close to the hotel.
Uncomfortable bed, very soft and bouncey. The room was a little bit dark because of the small window but we spent all day out so we didnt mind really.
The one younger guy that checked us in and out and served us breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Not much interaction with others.
The hotel itself is definitely not the main part of the business on this property and is not kept up well. Our room smelled of mold very strongly and the hotel itself is in desperate need of a renovation. Sadly for an extra hundred dollars for two nights you can stay in the city Centre at a much nicer hotel. Well worth the spend. I will say that the bedding and towels and general cleanlines were there and did not feel dirty whatsoever.
we had a beautiful meal on two nights of our stay in the Viking restaurant which is located upstairs and is open wed to sun at 5 30pm.
we had breakfast on first morning .waited45minutes for it to be cooked ,toast was toasted only on one side and only brown bread no choice.orange juice was dilute cordial.needless to say we didn't have breakfast any other morning. We would not recommend it .Old box television in room with cracked screen and very poor reception
Mix of modern fitted room, view of Dublin Bay (just lucky), older front of building and modern rear extension (quiet), pub downstairs with Craft Beers.
Parking was tight
The location, the staff, the excellent food and the sea view room.
The fluorescent Heineken sign directly outside our window, which lit the room all night.
Location & leaving
Not overly friendly & on arrival tried to charge us a 2nd time. Poor state of decor. Room: had badly stained carpet, one of the beds had a wheel missing, no valances on beds - very old bed bases on show, mattresses uncomfortable - didn't want to inspect given state of everything else! Food: mediocre - beefburgers were dry & chips still part raw. Waiter had no personality & indifferent - no wonder the place was almost empty. Photographer is highly talented as managed hide all shortcomings on website! Can't understand how gets a 7.8 review.....
The staff where lovely and welcoming, and the rooms where clean and tidy.
The bathroom wasn't very clean, and we had to go out to buy bath cleaner before using it.
The view was wonderful. Also nice that shops and a gas station were close by. Pizza Hut was just down the road which was also convenient. The restaurant down stairs in the hotel was very cute and cosy and never too loud, we spent a couple of evenings down there. Glad we stayed here!!
The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, the food was excellent and the only thing that let's it down is the hotel is dated.
