The staff were so helpful, even sorting out my new phone for me! They remembered how particular I am about how I like my drink and the food in the bar is lovely (we didn't eat in the restaurant). The bar is attractive and the location excellent, overlooking the Irish Sea but short bus ride from the centre of town.
Perhaps some new beds might be a good idea?
Ease of access to port; it took us five minutes to drive there early in the morning. Great bar downstairs. Bed was one of the more comfortable ones we had throughout Ireland.
The whole hotel had a strange smell it it. There was blood on one of our towels (we just shared a towel, didn't worry about complaining to management as we were only there one night). Nothing of interest nearby.
The staff was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Their service is perfect. The room was cozy and confortable, with beautiful bathroom tiles. The food was great too.
Wi-Fi situation could be much better. The location is a little remote, but if you're looking for some quiet time to relax this would be the place to go.
Very close to bus stop. Very helpful and kind staff. reception open 24h (at least on the day of our departure). Great bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good value for money
carpets in the halls smelled weird
Car Park awkward to get in and out of
The restaurant is brilliant, each meal was very delicious! The staff is very nice and helpful. Good location - parking available and bus stop to the centre of the city is very close to the hotel.
Uncomfortable bed, very soft and bouncey. The room was a little bit dark because of the small window but we spent all day out so we didnt mind really.
The one younger guy that checked us in and out and served us breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Not much interaction with others.
The hotel itself is definitely not the main part of the business on this property and is not kept up well. Our room smelled of mold very strongly and the hotel itself is in desperate need of a renovation. Sadly for an extra hundred dollars for two nights you can stay in the city Centre at a much nicer hotel. Well worth the spend. I will say that the bedding and towels and general cleanlines were there and did not feel dirty whatsoever.
we had a beautiful meal on two nights of our stay in the Viking restaurant which is located upstairs and is open wed to sun at 5 30pm.
we had breakfast on first morning .waited45minutes for it to be cooked ,toast was toasted only on one side and only brown bread no choice.orange juice was dilute cordial.needless to say we didn't have breakfast any other morning. We would not recommend it .Old box television in room with cracked screen and very poor reception
Mix of modern fitted room, view of Dublin Bay (just lucky), older front of building and modern rear extension (quiet), pub downstairs with Craft Beers.
Parking was tight
The location, the staff, the excellent food and the sea view room.
The fluorescent Heineken sign directly outside our window, which lit the room all night.
Location & leaving
Not overly friendly & on arrival tried to charge us a 2nd time. Poor state of decor. Room: had badly stained carpet, one of the beds had a wheel missing, no valances on beds - very old bed bases on show, mattresses uncomfortable - didn't want to inspect given state of everything else! Food: mediocre - beefburgers were dry & chips still part raw. Waiter had no personality & indifferent - no wonder the place was almost empty. Photographer is highly talented as managed hide all shortcomings on website! Can't understand how gets a 7.8 review.....
The staff where lovely and welcoming, and the rooms where clean and tidy.
The bathroom wasn't very clean, and we had to go out to buy bath cleaner before using it.
The view was wonderful. Also nice that shops and a gas station were close by. Pizza Hut was just down the road which was also convenient. The restaurant down stairs in the hotel was very cute and cosy and never too loud, we spent a couple of evenings down there. Glad we stayed here!!
The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, the food was excellent and the only thing that let's it down is the hotel is dated.
The position was good if you want to be away from the city for peace and quiet. The bus service into town was regular and easy. Easy drive to airport. Evening meal was good in the bar (did not try the steak house). Staff attentive and friendly in the evening. The lift was helpful for heavy bags - are not usually available in guest houses.
On arrival we asked if we could pay for one breakfast and decide later about our second morning. This was rather briskly dismissed on the grounds we had already booked it. As we were only paying at that point I think we were entitled to ask for this and certainly other places were flexible on this. Evening staff were very good although one is a little too brisk as though in a hurry. Evening atmosphere was good. Breakfast was a disappointment. One morning the staff had obviously been overwhelmed (on a Bank Holiday). But the following morning which was quiet there was only one member of staff who disappeared and left new arrivals wondering what to do. The price was the highest we paid on our trip and the worst value.
Food good and excellent staff
Bedroom fittings, eg lights need updating
The staff were lovely and helpful the bed was very comfortable the room was cosy
there was nothin to complain about
Cleaning ladys were very rude and threatened us with paying if we didnt hurry out of the room at 11 am hotel was empty and no rooms were busy we spent alot in the hotel the nigjt before
Excellent upstairs restaurant
Wonderful friendly staff. Superb restaurant upstairs, food excellent.
Restaurant on the chilly side
the staff were great its location from downtown Dublin. Not far from airport Food was great Viking Resturant (stone Cooked Steak)
could up grade televisions
Good location near Port
Upstairs restaurant Vikings staff are not friendly and downright unhelpful.
We were a middle aged couple looking for a relaxing break and found that the Bram Stoke ticked all the boxes we required. It was a comfortable stay, with good quality food and drink. The staff were courteous and friendly and very helpful. The location was ideal, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city centre, but only a bus ride away with good bus links. Would definitely stay there again.
Liked the staff, the food, the coziness of the common areas. Room was well heated with fresh linen and towels. Would recommend it.
nothing to dislike.
Convenient location, friendly, helpful staff (particular kudos to Philip, Tom, and Paulina), comfortable rooms, very affordable prices, and excellent food. Had a great time.
