The clontarf seperated us from our daughter and I had booked the two rooms together which they didnt recognize and made no attempt to fix. I was concerned for our daughter and didnt think she should be seperated from us and it made our stay uncomfortable. I tried to use the internet in the room and called and reported that it didnt work so they said they would send up a porter who arrived 45 minutes to say it doesnt work. I was charged for internet service and I had to ask three times for this to be removed from my bill and then the woman at the desk kept saying "Wasnt it grand." Then the staff was calling the guests by the wrong name and I heard another woman who told them they were calling her the wrong name. Finally when I went to the lobby to use the internet that computer was not working as well. They need to update their equipment and stop asking people if everything was grand when it clearly was not.

The hotel is beautiful. They did a great job of mixing the castle with a modern building. Staff was great, Dubliners in genreral are the nicest people you will meet in any city in the world. Price was great compared to what a room in the middle of town will cost. Location, you are only a few miles from town but even with a car it will take you 15-20 minutes. The public transportation is great but after a night in the city I did not want to spend another 30 minutes+ getting back to the room. Breakfast is very expensive and you have to pay for the full breakfast even if you just want toast and coffee. I was over charged by over 200 EUR for my room when I checked out. I was able to get this straightened out after about 15 minutes, I was just glad that I kept the booking confirmation or I would have been stuck paying a lot more for the room. I had noticed when I checked in that another guest was having the same issue so maybe this standard practice?

The room was excellent and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept in over the 5 days we spent in Ireland. We had previously stayed in three other hotels during the week. The food was also of a high standard both for dinner and breakfast. The Bar area could be warmer and more welcoming as one side of it is very near to a main door which was left open during the day despite the fact that the tempature outside was only around 14c.

The ambience; the perfect blending of old and new. The courtesy of staff. Nearness to city. Lack of a variety of toiletries especially lack of shower-caps, which were made available after a wait of over 20 mins.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We had the romance package and it was wonderful. From the entrance to the room the hotel exceeded it's reputation, truly a very welcoming hotel and the staff very very polite. We also had dinner at the hotel and that was very nice. Absolutely would go again!

Amazing castle lobby and restaurant It was a shame that the room was just a normal hotel room and didn't continue the castle theme through from the lobby

It was long time I want to stay in this castle, known in recent history to be one of the most selective cabaret of Dublin, not to far from the cemetery where Bram Stoker was baptised. The entrance and the hall are done with a great taste, a magnificent fireplace its a great welcoming. Rooms was not big but confortable, the surroundings were quiet and we had all we needed, coffee and tea alwasys available. Wireless signal excelent and I was able to hook up phones pads and lap. I spend 4 days at the castle, and everything whent smooth, there was a gym with all the basics, a confortable knight bar, with nice corners where enjoy a perfect stout and imagine of what the athmospere should have been back 500 years back. Last night of my stay I ask at the recepton if I could stay in one of the mini suites, I got upgrade with a smile and that was really a treat! Emazing old style solid wooden bed and an imperial bathroom with a great view from the top of the castle. Almost forgot, if you like running, there is bull island with his endless beach. King of a castle just for one day!

We were attending a function at Clontarf Castle with a number of friends, the hotel was 1st class, we decided to have a bite to eat before the function and grabbed some food in the bar which was excellent and reasonably priced. The rooms were very spacious. Staff were very polite and friendly, overall a lovely place to stay I would most definitely recommend and return to stay in the future. Hazel Dublin.

The staff ( especially pearl at the front desk) was very friendly. My only Issue is the location on relation to the city center. Although you can easily take the bus from a near by bus stop.

Lovely, comfortable room. As I am handicapped want to say accommodations for me are very good. Best part however was dealing with Eric who absolutely bent over backwards to assist us. We can't thank him enough. Only complaint is handicapped windows overlook area where waitstaff leave work & was bit noisy then. Otherwise perfect.

My Granddaughter (19) and I stayed there for two nights and found the staff to be especially polite and friendly. The front desk staff went out of their way to show us how to get to places we wanted to see in Dublin. Overall a very good experience.

Great rate. Close to airport and the hotel has character. So many hotels are boring. Best value on Booking.com (sale price vs. original suggested retail price) Too many chairs on the balcony. Some of the rugs have stains.

Rooms were spacious and were very clean with updated amenities. Staff was helpful and wifi was free. Location was a bit outside city, but a bus stop was a short 5-7 minute walk away. Hotel during our stay the hotel was booked with evening events which caused parking issues if you arrived later in the evening. Friends of ours who were had a room on the second floor complained that the noise from the parties (Fri & Sat nights) could be heard in their room, and it did not cease until 12:30 am. We were located on the third floor but were not bothered by the noise.
