Pleasant and informative owners. Helpful about places to visit and what to see in the area all helped enhance our stay. Excellent breakfast menu catered for all tastes and cooked while you waited. Nice to be offered a welcoming cup of tea and cake on arrival. A Good base for touring the area and close to Knock Airport.

We found not a lot of choice for evening meals nearby. Chinese in village was overpriced when compared to Charlestown. Foxford and Pontoon pubs and restraunts were better, but everybody's tastes do differ.

Our rental car broke on the day of our departure at the parking place of Cloonlara! The owner of the B&B made us feel comfortable, he offered us coffee to calm down and brought us to the airport. He explained what had happened at the office of the rental company. So very kind!!!! By the way: The room and the breakfast were outstanding!

I was staying in Swinford for one night to attend a 1 year anniversary mass for a friend's brother. I had an accident on the way to Swinford and was a bit flustered upon arrival at the B&B. I was met by Catherine and Eamonn at the door who were really lovely. Before I knew it I was sitting down with a cuppa in hand and they helped me to relax, as I was pretty stressed out on arrival. I was made to feel like I was an old friend. They were so understanding of my misfortune and they allowed me to keep my car on their premises, even though I had only stayed one night. Eamonn gave me a lift to the church also, and he obligingly met the insurance Assessor for me, as I had travelled back home. I cannot emphasise enough what great people they are at Cloonara Lodge and I would highly recommend it to anybody that is staying in the area. The B&B itself is immaculate in every way and my room was both homely and cosy. I will definitely stay there again in the future, but I promise not to leave a broken car out back next time! Thank you both very much for everything, you are both genuinely adorable people! All the best, Eddie

    it said pets allowed

their dog was horrible to ours, so it's unfair to say that pets are allowed. he obviously doesn't like pets staying!

Stayed two nights at the Cloonlara Lodge during a motorcycle tour. After a great welcome, with tea and home made cake, the bike was stored inside which was very much above expectations. Would highly recommend this B&B for the great hosts and tasty breakfasts.
