Score from 1445 reviews Very good
Quiet and comfortable - walking distance to some great eating places.
Location. Breakfast. Bar snacks
No complimentary watering rooms.limited TV programmes
Excellent location with a view of the A viva. Rooms clean and staff friendly. If there was cash to spare a bit of modernisation would make a huge difference (curtains and bedspread) however for the price I was quite happy.
Entrance and food/bar area could be more welcoming was very quiet and gloomy the night I stayed. Open plan would be amazing in this space.
The location and setting of the hotel are excellent, the large sized room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Staff were attentive and Paul was especially helpful in getting the rather antiquated voucher system for wifi to function properly.
The a/c in the room was poor, and there was no fridge/mini-bar in the room. Given the price of the room I would expect wifi to be free, and easy to access - it was neither. There is no gym but the hotel offers the use of a nearby gym - but once again, at a cost. I would love to stay there again but it isn't cheap and it's not perfect.
The restaurant was very nice, but the cab fare to and from the city wasn't worth it
The distance from the city
Nice quiet location not too far from the city center. Lovely hotel with nice rooms, ours could have used a little updating however. Very clean, very friendly staff.
No free wifi available but the staff did help and print our boarding passes.
A radio alarm clock would be handy.
Excellent hotel rooms where lovely. The surrounding area is lovely to go for a walk. The staff were pleasant as always. This was our second time staying.
staff, restaurant, bar and facilities, nostalgic feeling of traditional hotel that we loved
..slight smoke smell as mayb old smoke walls may have been painted over in our rooms or prev guest smoked in it...
Near Dublin city and other points of interest. Restaurant food was excellent .
Hotel location with secure parking
dining and food quality
The room was relatively quiet and clean. A bit of a hike to the downtown core but you can always hop a bus.
A top sheet on the bed would be most welcome in the warm weather.
Beautiful facilities with friendly staff & excellent spa
Wifi was limited and costly.
I had a meeting at the Aviva stadium in Dublin so the location was very convenient. The Dart is also close by if needed.
Hotel lobby is okay and bar/restaurant okay but the rooms are sure to disappoint. Looking out on a blank concrete wall. Old grotty carpet and fixtures.Needs work.I think the hotel was quite empty and a nicer room should have been given
Wifi should be included in the rooms, or st least in the lobby.
Good value for money.
Old building, old doors that need maintenance. Slow check-in.
Big rooms Great staff Location
Got a bit bored of the menu. Breakfast service is the only thing that let the place down, all seems a bit if a free for all.
we loved the big comfy bed and the spacious suite; we used these two nights as a break from the kids and to spend some quality time together. Bliss. We were very happy with the breakfasts, good quality and choice, and a pleasant walk into town.
Having to leave!
just thought the decor a bit jaded - foyer in particular quite dark but bedroom furniture dark and dreary also. However only stayed one night so it didnt matter too much.
great value for money staff very friendly and very helpful nice bar and restaurant
paying way too much for parking 10.50 for one nights parking furniture in room was a bit tatty
Location Mushroom salad
Bed was really uncomfortable
Friendly welcome at reception and staff. Cleanliness of hotel
I was served soup in a chipped bowl which did not give a good impression
