The hotel room was very well finished for the price. Internet was a must for me and it was in the room. It was a little noisey during the night, the walls were very thin. |

Fair price for room and breakfast, though I cannot think of anything else positive to say. The hotel was advertised as being in Portlaoise - it is not - it is about 2 miles from town centre and 1.5 outside town limits. The shower and sink were defective in en-suite. The electric box in room was making a continuous buzzing noise which was unpleasant. The breakfast was very poor, eggs were like rubber, poor selection of cooked breakfast and used a microwave to make scrambled eggs. |

Excellent staff, quick to solve a few minor problems we had. Rooms are well laid out and comfy bed. free internet connection in the room, tea/coffee making facilities. lunch in restaurant was nice. Ran out of orange juice on the sun, not replaced by Monday. |

girl in reception was fab, couldn't do enough for you, breakfast staff couldn't care less as it was our first time staying nobody to tell us it was self service for breakfast, asked for milk was told in silver thing no jugs available, had to take cup of tea to silver thing for milk, not good enough for the price we paid. hotel was extremely busy during our stay |

An affordable, comfortable and clean hotel. Located near enough to town for a taxi. Amenities of above average standard. Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel contributed a lot towards the great weekend we had in Portlaoise. |

I have stayed in the Maldron twice. Once business and once pleasure. On each occasion I found the facilities to be excellent, value for money and of the highest quality and service. For bookings that include room only I would recommend the option of a cheaper breakfast. €12.50/breakfast is expensive if you have 5 in family most members of mine only wanted toast or a cereal. |

It's in a perfect position, mid journey to anywhere across the lenght or breadth of Ireland. Having returned to the Hotel after 10.00 pm it would have been nice to have a room service option, rather than have to return to Portlaoise to find something to eat. |
