We arrived 7 hours before check in due to a very early flight, and had requested an early check in, but as the hotel was full we didnt expect to get one, but we dropped our bags at the hotel and went for a wander, and were contacted a couple of hours later to say we could get in our room, which was great 5 hrs early. Very efficient and very much appreciated. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good, but a little confusing, it appeared to be self service with the hot food in heated servers in the dining room, but we were quickly rebuffed, as were other people, when we attempted to open the servers to get food, and told to wait to be served. We would have done this but after waiting 15mins to be asked we assumed we served ourselves. A notice would have been helpful so people knew what to do. The rooms were very very basic, but adequate. The shower spoiled by the fact there was a curtain (which kept sticking to ur legs) to replace a broken glass door in the cubicle, the shower itself was one of the best showers i have ever had, very hot and very powerful. The hotel wasn't particularly noisy as some reviews infer, and we were on the main street. And we didn't have much internal noise from other guests either. Location fab for shopping malls, Grafton St, Temple Bar, plus lots of traditional bars and restaurants locally to hotel. Would definetly stay here again, best value i could find in central Dublin. Some of the staff were a little sharp, and could communicate a bit more effectively, but maybe language barrier was an issue? It was a little old fashioned and run down, eg. shower curtain, curtain rails broken and curtain rings mis-matched, decoration tired. Was clean on the surface of things but could do with a good thorough clean around carpet edges, top of wardrobes etc.? Room very small, wasn't a problem to us cos we only slept there but alot of guests were complaining about this.

Rooms were very small. The pictures online were extremely misleading. Also, wireless Internet connectivity was intermittent at best. Be careful not to mistake the Dublin Citi Hotel with this one.

Location and price. Pleasant breakfast room. Good wifi. Nice seating room for guests. Bad ventilation in the very small bathroom, not even possible to leave the door open (on a spring hinge) - been like that for a long time I guess as it smelt of damp. Very thin wall - every arrival / departure in the corridor wakes you up (late at night and early in the morning). Sound from the street in a busy neighbourhood I can accept (and it wasnt so bad) but noise in neighbouring rooms and corridor very irritating (especially when you're tired from lack of sleep!). Scrambled egg at breakfast more like blamange than egg - to be avoided!

The location was excellent.Staff were very helpful and accomadating.Breakfast was exceptional.Location so close to whatever you decide to do.Such a shame they do not have a residents bar, which would make it the place to stay whatever your reason. All that apart it is a very customer friendly hotel.Shame about the small room. All in all we loved it. We cannot complain about anything except the lack of residents bar but there is a cracking bar 2mins up the street.Well done all at the Dublin City Inn.

The Dublin City Inn was really a really good place to stay. Great location really cental to everything. The staff were also very helpful and the room was very clean. We managed to find a great price for our stay through Booking.com so it met most all of our expectations. Could of used a fair bit more parking, we managed to get a spot but could see how it would be easy for the carpark to get full. The halls and elavator were a bit dark so the first impressions weren't the best but the room was completely fine.

If you're looking for a central hotel, then this is a very good option. Hotel is in walking distance to just about everything. The WiFi connection is very bad. MAny times it just switches off and you have to start all over again.... The room was very small and the shower soooo tiny.

“I was shocked and amazed at the value for money as it was only 40 euro per night and I was surprised at how well the room was presented and the quality of the room was outstanding. I have to say the pillows were the best I have ever had! And all the staff were helpful and especially the maid who always asked if all our stuff was okay :)” Jonathan, Manchester |
