Stunning location and handy for Cobh's attractions. Friendly staff in breakfast area.
"Double" bed too small for two people. Reception staff could have been more helpful. Its a fine old building and great location but a fairly basic level of service and facilities. A little upgrade would be nice.
Nice Big Bathroom - Quiet Room on 3rd floor Clean
Remote control didn't work Bed a tad soft & springs felt Not clear where elevator was when on 3rd floor Wasn't told how much breakfast was - no upsell made on food or bar Ashtray in room?????
I was really disappointed with my stay the Commodore hotel in room 361. I checked in after 5pm and when I got to the room it was absolutely freezing. I plugged in the heater in the room and this did not help. The room didn't start to warm up til half 8 so for 3 hours I was frozen while I waited for my boyfriend. Not only that when we both went to have showers (yesterday evening and this morning) the water was not even lukewarm so we couldn't have showers. There was only one hand towel and one bath towel so I do not know how we were supposed to have got washed. Our room was very outdated and I had a very unpleasant stay. The only view we had from our room was of a back yard and rubbish bins. If my payment was not pre-authorized before my stay I certainly would not have to been happy to pay it this morning. This hotel is in a beautiful location and we had high hopes of a romantic stay but it was far from this.
Ease of commute from factory
Tiredness of rooms
Friendly staff, beautiful views and good value for money.
The room was good but please update the TV in the room. Dining room was lovely and food very good. Staff very friendly.
The reception area needs to be renovated. Heating in the room especially at night needs to improve, I was freezing.
unknowingly we chose weekend of music festival.. so Fri and Sat nights were very noisy
Food and staff helpful
Mold every every where dirty
Value for money location and charm.
Not a single thing
Ideal location, staff are great, breakfast was lovely, room had beautiful views over Cobh
The interior needs an overhaul, with the right kind of attention to detail and decor (and perhaps parking) this place would be a goldmine, because everything else is perfect!
Enjoyed the whole experience,
Location, Breakfast room
Tiny bathroom, sink loose, tired room
the location is nice right in the city centre, the hotel has charm, the reception staff is friendly
don't choose the value deal, you get the most run down room of the hotel, the band stands were broken, we couldn't open the drawer also the wardboard, it would collaps when you use it, the old tube TV had no remote control and a bad image, the floor was sagging/askew, the view was to the backyard where they sort out their glass bottles, lot of noise, the cleanlineness was sufficient
The location is a nice area. Visiting Spike Island and the Titanic Experience was interesting. Also visited Fota Wildlife Park and spent hours there looking at the animals.
The bedroom we were in was a little dusty, especially the wall above the bed.
I was so delighted with my stay in the Commodore Hotel as it was many years since I had been previously, the value was honest and so appreciated.. Well Done. All the Staff without exception were so friendly and mannerly from arrival to departure, the food and entertainment in the Lounge was just right. I commend All and will be more than Happy to stay again at the earliest opportunity.

Price and Cleanliness
€20 in a taxi to Fota Island resort and very noisy in the morning, doors slamming, cleaners in the corridors etc.
Large quiet room. Great location. Very nice pub and restaurant with decent food at a decent price. Clean and comfortable.
Location, large room, roof terrace.
low water pressure in the shower.
The location of the hotel was great , we booked it the morning that we arrived it was the last room available.
The bed and mattress were very poor and we both were awake most of the night. The bed was very small and we are small people the room was at the back of the hotel with a view of pipes and it was noisy.
The sea view from my room. Breakfast menu was good and plentiful. Reception manned 24/7 which very important.
The hotel is dated and old-fashioned. It needs an overall overhaul to bring it to a more modern standards. Hotel poorly maintained resulting from either cleaning staff failing to report snags or management failing to act or both. Budget issues? Don't think so.
