Cornerstones B&B  

The location, the (healthy) breakfast and the comfort, but the icing on the cake of our stay was the hospitality of the owners: after returning to Dublin on the night before our flight, we found out that we left our jackets in the hotel, with our passports in it! We rang the owners, they found the jackets and immediately suggested to bring the jackets to Galway (a 3 hour return drive), in order to meet us half way so we didn't need to drive all night and didn't miss our flight. We are very grateful for that.

Beautiful rooms, tasty breakfast, great location, close to clifden and the connemara national park. Private accomodation and very friendly and helpful hosts.

Our host Eithne was a beautiful open human being and made us feel so welcome, also very informative about the area. The attention to detail from the home cooking to breakfast presentation was superb. The most amazing jam maker. Would love to live closer to be able to stay again. Thanks to you both..

Everything It was wonderful

Cornerstones is a great b&B. Breakfast was amazing. There is delicious homemade choices. Cakes and scones are baked daily and the house always smells amazing. I have never stayed in a cleaner room. The room was big enough and we had plenty of space. Location is perfect for touring the local area. I would highly reccomend them. Warm, cosy and friendly. Just what you need.

Booking.com address was hard to find in gps but we have found this for most places we have stayed. When you type in the superb 'Moyard' it is easy.

My husband and I from beginning to end had a relaxing enjoyable break and would recommend cornerstones to friends and family. The location was central to all the local amenities and the views from our room were spectacular. The welcome from the owners was genuine and they were very informative about the local area, plenty of literature also available on restaurants and attractions. A thoroughly enjoyable well deserved holiday !

Everyone was warm and friendly! They even went as far as to provide some games, puzzles and toys for my 6 year old (although I didn't ask for them). So I thought that was very generous. Breakfast was delicious.

The only thing I would suggest is to provide breakfast a little longer. Not all travelers are early risers.

Beautiful house. Lovely owner. Spotlessly clean room. En-suite comfortably sized with nice toiletries. Despite our booking including breakfast, we did not stay for this meal (can't comment on the quality). Pleasantly surprised to be given a discount for this.

Magnificent location overlooking the twelve Bens! The owners are very hospitable and see to every need. Everything is very tidy and you get a Great full Irish Breakfast with homemade jam... Delicious! Clifden is just a 15 min drive... Go to Mitchel's for dinner, superb!!

The Proprietors are absolutely lovely, friendly & helpful. Accommodation clean, comfortable, warm with all that one would need. Views fabulous. Food just fantastic, simply couldn't ask for more.

Our stay at Cornerstones was very enjoyable. We were made very welcome by our hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable with breathtaking views across the loughs and mountains of Connemara. Our hosts provided us with excellent information on places of interest and where to eat locally making our holiday in Connemara that bit more special. The grounds were very well cared for with views of Tully Mountain and the Twelve Bens (Pins). The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice on the menu. The sitting room was very comfortable and warmed by a log fire in the evening (great to come home to after a long days walk around the hills and loughs). A great place to make your stay to explore Connemara and Mayo. The Cornerstones b&b really made our holiday a great one to remember.

Great stay in Connemara. We appreciate a lot : the location, the calm, the cheefulness of hour host. From there, you can drive to various seesight and enjoy nature in various way : forest, mountains, beach, sea... A great deal which lead to great souvenir.

You need a car to drive from here to other nice places (even if it's not very far from Clifden).

Wonderful family. Very friendly and helpful about the area. Stayed in a room with view of lake and mountains. Extremely quite area. About 15 minutes from Clifton and 10 minutes from Kylemore Abbey. Good place if you need an overnight stay. Dining room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order, besides a continental set-up. TV in room. Shower, no tub. We had 2 twin beds in room.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. All my requests were looked after. Room & En-Suite were spotless. Would Definitely stay here again.

La maitresse de maison nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de sympathie et son petit déjeuner continental est exceptionnel.

Uns hat es richtig gut im Cornerstones b&b gefallen. Es gibt wirklich nichts negatives zu berichten. Wir hatten das beste Frühstück unseres kompletten Irlandaufenthalts. Jeden Morgen werden frisch Frühstücksmenüs vom der Familie zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind super sauber und der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Kostenloses WLAN steht im gesamten Haus zur Verfügung, ebenfalls gibt es Parkplätze auf dem Hof. Clifden, die nãchst grössere Stadt liegt Ca. 15 Fahrminuten entfernt. Der Nationalpark liegt direkt vor der Haustüre. Wir empfehlen das b&b gerne weiter!
