That our plans prevented us from staying longer.
Tom, the host, was very professional & pleasant. He was helpful in providing info. His wife also helped us with the WiFi. She made an outstanding full Irish breakfast.
warm room, away from traffic, facilities in common living room downstairs, has microwave and fridge
- a speckle of blood on my pillow
- large bed - good quality/price - excellent free breakfast
Bathroom could do with a deep clean. Showerhead and patches on the walls/celling mouldy.
Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate for one night. The lady who served breakfast was friendly. Fry up tasty. Location not suitable for walking into town but fine if you have a car.
When we arrived the lady on the desk at check in was a little bit abrupt but the other lady and gent were very friendly and helpful
We stayed as part of a hen party the Corrib haven was ideal as a small group for a hen party stay was very comfortable and staff were friendly would stay again
the breakfast was not good the oil was dripping off the food. the shower curtain in the ensuite didn't fit the shower properly and soaked the floor. the person who greeted us did not make any effort.
the lady serving the breakfast was very friendly. location was very good.
Staff were v helpful and gave us lots of suggestions on places to see and there was plenty of leaflets on same. rooms were cosy and we were v much made feel at home also bus stop was just outside front door.
There was only 1 plug in the room with a group that didn't really work for us
Unfriendly greeting. Asked to pay in advance before seeing room. Shown a very small ground-floor room initially although another was available. Not told that water had been off the previous few mornings. (Mains problem not their fault but we should have been told.) Not possible to shower in the morning.
Staff were rude.breakfast awful .funny smell in place parking poor
food was not great, water mains burst so no water not once but twice, would not recommend
No water in the area which the owner could not control however we were not made aware of this on arrival & no bottled water provided for the room, had to go to the shop to buy bottled water just to wash hands & teeth. Had to wait for a long time at reception to be attended to on checkout - although checkout was 11,reception was unmanned
Breakfast was nice. Looked nice from the outside. Beautiful flowers & decor
Pretty good a lot further than the advertised 1.5km from town center, and possibly the worst shower ever, good food and room was ok/good but seriously the shower was rubbish, would have to run a marthon to get wet and lone time for the water to arrive
Very poor welcome on arrival, no people skills from lady of the house. Left waiting five minutes before door was opened no friendly smiles or small talk. Did not agree with request to pay on arrival.
Kitchen staff the following morning made up for our very poor and unfriendly welcome.
On arrival met by Lady who was not particularly welcoming. Very cold greeting. ' Hello., Name' 'your in room 4' 'D u want to settle for room now?' Room small for double bed. Barely enough room to walk around the,bed to get to window. Poor socket points, too far away from mirror - couldn't sit at mirror to dry hair as cable not long enough to stretch to socket.
Lady who served breakfast was nice and friendly and food was sufficient.
It's grubby, smells weird and reception was far from friendly and payment in cash was demanded up-front. Its the worst guesthouse I've ever stayed in. This place is so bad that I don't know where to begin. I would not recommend this guesthouse to anyone. Stains all over the floor in our room. Dirty shower and grubby taps in bathroom. Old towels are threadbare as are the bed sheets. Bin in the room doesn't work, dirty flip-lid had to be lifted by hand. Cheap toilet roll in bathroom, falls apart trying to get it off the roll. Lights on stairs and landing didn't work (pitch black ad night time) Lights in bedroom didn't work, had to shuffle across the room and over the bed to turn a lamp on, only noticed none of the lights were working on our return that night, nobody about to contact about it. Ironing board in hallway melted onto my shirt and ruined it. Staff seemed disinterested. Also if there was wifi in the place I certainly didn't pick it up anywhere.
Nothing, there was absolutely nothing positive about this B&B. I very rarely leave a review unless a place is either amazing or bad. But this place makes me me wish I had left reviews of every other average place I stayed. Just so people don't think that I'm just another nutjob because my review was so scathing.
The shower head was very dirty. Towel we're worn and old. The washing machine noise kept me a wake one night.
too dear at 90euro especially as the place needs to be cleaned.
staff, breakfast, parking
Had to wait outside for over half an hour because no one was there to let us in or to check us in. Luckily other guests came back to let us into the bnb. We called the owner who told us he would get someone to let us in and we had to call back again 20 minutes later only to be told that the person who was checking us in had errands to run. I was quite disappointed at the lack of professionalism. Didn't even receive an apology. Sockets in the room were not working on top of all of that. Definitely won't stay there. I would only recommend it based on the breakfast and nothing else.
The breakfast was lovely and the kitchen staff were the best.
The ensuite bathroom was very small
The location was ideal as I was collecting my daughter from college
The shower didn't work great, beds were not that confortable and I thought that it was too over priced for what you got. Breakfast times were too short also
The Staff were great and the stay was fantastic :)
we had a Lovely stay amazing staff, good breakfast and close to NUIG.
Room and lobby smelled of smoke. Breakfast wasn't great
Location was handy for where I wanted to be
Expensive if compare with other B&B, Nothing special.
