Courtyard by Marriott Hotel & Spa

I have been staying at the Courtyard Hotel in Galway since it opened, and it is the first hotel I look for when going to Galway,Staff are very pleasant and friendly, rooms are very comfortable, and the food is excellent. Iwould always recommend the hotel to anyone .You will not be disappointed.

Rooms, Staff and Food

Although the hotel is on a busy road,this did not interfere with our stay, also only about 10 min from galway centre, the bar and resturant served very good food all day, and the spa was extremely good, so really an all round good deal.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occassions and like the fact that the staff particularly in the restaurant and bar are long service staff which is always a good sign of a well run establishment. While it is not central it is very convnient 10-15 minute walk from town. Food is good however on our last visit the breakfast buffett was poorly stocked on satruday but service resumed as normal on Sunday. Overall this hotel ticks all the boxes for our needs.

No, as we are frequent visitors to this hotel we always find it caters for our needs either as a weekend getaway or for a family break.

The hotel is very clean throughout.

The room was not as described on booking.com, when i questioned this the receptionist was unhelpful and rude. The room we were given was opposite the staff room and our only veiw was of people eating and messing around on their breaks. Also the majority of rooms are positioned over a very loud fan which was very annoying when we were trying to get some sleep.

Relaxed atmosphere-friendly staff-proximity to city & west

I paid for 4 nights stay up front -non refundable 9Tue to Fri incl). I had a family emergency & could not stay on Fri night(the most espensive night) & no credit/refund was available as booking was done thru you & not hotel directly.

Modern, comfortable rooms. Convenient location though just outside the city centre. Friendly professional staff at check-in/check-out. Hot breakfast included.

OUr first room had a noise emitting from a motor in the service duct, we did not sleep well first night, The staff imeadiately changed our room for the next night which was good but the same offending noisy motor sratrted again in the morning. I think if we had stayed longer we would have complained to manager. But the first room change was good.
