Very comfortable. Excellent service. A couple of minor issues were dealt with quickly and in a most friendly manner. Free safe parking in underground park easily accessed by lift. We also received a voucher to return for a similar break at a reduced price during the next year.We will certainly return.

We had dinner included in our booking which we didn't expect much from previous experiences at different hotels however the dinner was nothing but perfect, perfect menu, service and food. Just excellent. We also booked in for full body massages and again the service was excellent. Will definitley be recommending this hotel and will most likely be returning.

We did not enjoy our stay at the Pillo Hotel. It was noisy and we did not get any sleep. Children were running up and down the corridor all night and banging on our hotel door. Breakfast was a disaster. We had planned on staying for two nights but checked out after one night. We were told at Reception that we would have to pay for two nights. We were not even asked why we wanted to leave. When we explained the reason we were checking out we were told that we were not the onky guests who had complained. We still had to pay for this experience. Overall our stay was a disaster. Regards, Mary and Jim Morrin

The Pillo matches the comfort and quality of other similar 4 star hotels in Galway but provides it with a much more competitive room rate. Among the qualities of the hotel are the superking size beds and spacious rooms, ample on-site parking and good taxi service to the city.

Value for money, clean big room, pleasant check-in staff, free parking. The breakfast room is shared with the bar, which on Sunday morning was noisy and showing the rugby match on huge TVs. Unfriendly breakfast staff. No wifi in the room - only in the shared areas. (Although they do provide a wired connection free in the room.)

The staff were really helpful and the standard of accomodation was very good. Although the general location is great the fact that the hotel is surrounded by a shopping centre with a garage under it's canopy would not make the outside picturesque or peaceful.

The room was large and comfortable. Warm too, with a well appointed bathroom. I don't know how old this hotel is, but the air conditioning is very noisy. Also, when I checked in, the woman on reception was very confused.

The hotel was clean, well maintained and offered comfortable, affordable accommodation. It is within easy walking distance of Galway city centre and there are a number of shops, restaurants and bars close by. We thought that the menu in the Bistro was well below 4-star standard. I had ordered a 'prime beef burger' which was terrible - it was of the frozen supermarket variety rather than a freshly house made succulent burger. However, I have to add that the restaurant staff was extremely polite and generous when I complained about it. We did not have to pay for that main and were offered complimentary desserts, teas/coffees and drinks at the bar. So even though the meal was below standard, the service was excellent.

The spa was lovely and the staff there were really nice. The staff on reception had incorrect booking details for us and overcharged us. It took 30 minutes to resolve in front of other guests checking out, which was a bit embarrassing. The staff were less than apologetic about this. Also one night in the restaurant, my order was completely wrong. I didn't bother complaining as four of us were dining and I would have had to wait for a new order. I would not return to the hotel as a result.

Nice room for a good price. Heating wasn't working in the room so we had to use a heating fan they provided. Water could have been a little hotter on the Friday evening.

The Pillo hotel is a luxurious place to stay, with friendly staff and close to local facilities. I would recommend anyone to stay there to take a relaxing escape away from the busy life they lead. Their bath tubs seemed quite small.

The Hotel is close to the city centre and within walking distance from a small shopping area. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and are clean and modern. Bar food quite good too. Unfortunately we found the breakfast was not very good and was cold.

We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite/apartment, which was much appreciated and made a great difference for the weekend. Staff all friendly and helpful. Our only minus was that the bed was on the hard side.
