Court Yard HotelMain Street, Leixlip (Show map) Wonderful, Score from 36 reviews“Only a very short one night stay (on the way to a wedding), but a very enjoyable one. Lovely rooms, really reasonably priced, nice lively bar, very helpful, friendly staff (the night porter made great sandwiches and was so genial!).”

Built where Arthur Guinness created his brewing empire, Court Yard Hotel is a unique, historic hotel, a short drive from Dublin International Airport and the center of the city. Enjoy the hotel's old-world charm, beautiful original stone work and contemporary designs, as well as the remains of the old Guinness Brewery. In Arthur's Bar you can remember where it all began in 1756. The hotel is near attractions, golf courses, outdoor activities and sports venues. After careful restoration, Court Yard Hotel has snug, tasteful rooms and the River Bank Restaurant and Brassiere. River Bank caters for all tastes and budgets with a focus on local produce and traditional dishes. Hotel Rooms: 40

Employees were extremely freindly and helpful, I only stayed a short time for a business meeting the next day but felt "at home" which is the best way to describe the whole service. Bar was busy and and freindly and a very good pint of Guiness!

Only a very short one night stay (on the way to a wedding), but a very enjoyable one. Lovely rooms, really reasonably priced, nice lively bar, very helpful, friendly staff (the night porter made great sandwiches and was so genial!). Breakfast was lovely as was the view / gardens. Would have liked to stay longer but had to be somewhere else, would definitely come back to the Court Yard if I found myself in the area again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Genuinely welcoming staff all round the hotel, top class room at a very affordable rate, excellent food and really good facilities to suit a range of tastes. Lost count over the years of the number of hotels I've stayed in and am therefore pretty cynical, so to say this is one of the very best it's been my pleasure to stay in shows how impressed I was.

Large, comfortable rooms. We were put on the smoking floor (which I didn't think existed any more) so smelt, we would have asked to move but thought the smoke was coming from outside, they have live music 3 or 4 nights of the week at the front of the hotel in the courtyard which whilst fun is extremely noisy so if that is not what you are into then you need to be at the rear of the hotel where in fairness, you can't hear it at all. Food is ok.

The best part of our stay was the atmosphere at the hotel. The hotel seemed to be a focal point that evening for all age groups, which were all catered to by the variety of entertainment on offer throughout the day. The large screen in the courtyard showed soccer and gaelic football throughout the afternoon and evening and it was a beautiful spot to be when the weather was as nice as it was. The bar staff were very courteous and helpful and the mix of people around showed how popular the hotel was for all ages. The variety of evening entertainment was also impressive and the hotel was buzzing as a result. A great place to spend a bank holiday night. The only issues we had around our stay related to checking in and room service. The hotel booking confirmed that checking in was from 12 noon. Despite the fact that we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 2pm, the room that was allocated to our booking was not cleaned. However, when we pointed it out to reception, they were completely apologetic and handled the issue with urgency and courtesy. And because we were spending the afternoon there, we let them rectify the issue at their leisure. The only other issue was around the room service the next morning. We had ordered our breakfast to the room. It was delivered exactly at the time we requested, which we were very impressed with. But the food that was delivered did not match what we had ordered on the breakfast card the night before. It was a very small issue and it didn't affect our enjoyment of our stay at the hotel.

The location, the hotel is a lovely place to relax in, good weather is a bonus as you can sit outside in the courtyard or gardens and enjoy unwinding. If you're in the mood for adventure you're just a short drive to some very interesting sites with things to do and see i.e the Japanese Gardens, Kildare Village and Dublin City Centre. My partner & I spent a whole day out at the Japanese Gardens and later found ourselves at Emo Court. After a long day of seeing sites it felt good knowing we were going back to a hotel with such a comfortable room. The pancakes for breakfast weren't as soft and fluffy as I was hoping, granted they were in the vegetarian option so they may have been catering for vegans as well which would explain why they were tough.

the court yard is convenient to dublin and a fab shopping centre called blanchardstown. The accomodation was lovely, very friendly staff and when a requested a particular room that we had stayed in before they very kindly obliged. This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. very very nice the decor ie the wallpaper was starting to lift and there were 2 small holes in the wallpaper, only very slightly and this did not stop us enjoying our stay but at attention to detail is a must for tourists visiting the hotel
