Kevin and Rebecca, the hosts, are very kind and attentive, patiently answering all my questions and graciously arranging help with a personal matter.... The staff, especially Jack, Gosha, David, Simon and Elenore, are great. Terrific food. Be sure to stay at Crotty's when in the area of SW Clare. No Internet access.

Comfortable room and bed. En suite adequate. Breakfast excellent with good selection of food well cooked by Martina who was additionally helpful in many ways to myself such as talking about available interests locally. Food in the day also well cooked and hot where appropriate. Location not as expected in terms of getting to other places by bus without a lot of wasted time waiting for buses. The shower was not one that I could use as it was directed to the head and not the body. I was on the top floor of the pub and this meant climbing 32 stairs. As I have limited mobility and Asthma, this proved to be a difficulty not previously acknowledged prior to the visit.

The rooms were large and clean, the breakfast was good, as was the possibility of having some drinks in the bar below It was a pity the boiler had broken down and that noone had hot water during our stay.

Very disappointed with a damp, cramped and dirty room which took away from us enjoying a couple of days of culture. Food was mostly good but had to send back one course which was dried out last portion. Will not be recommending Crotty's
