The location was good 1. On arrival at reception there were 3 members of staff. 1 member was busy checking in another guest. The other 2 female members totally ignored my girlfriend and i waiting to check in and continued to chat between themselves until their gossip session was over. We waited for several minutes, my girlfriend had to go sit down she was so annoyed. 2. Eventually 1 of the girls checked us in, i found her attitude was very bad and that my arrival at the hotel was a hinderence to her gossiping. 3. Once in the room 445 my girlfriend wished to use the bath before we went for dinner. The flow of water in to the bath was very slow and just trickled out which was very fustrating. 4. My girlfriend rang reception to request someone fix the bath. She was met by a simular bad attitude( possible the same girl who checked us in an eastern european girl) she said it was too late to get someone to fix it but we can move room. This would have been ok only we were under pressuse to meet our dinner reservation. 5. i booked a smoking room online, but we were not given 1.There was no ashtray and the room was marked non-smoking. 6. I no this 1 is not ovoidable but the bar was filled with members of the traveling community. They were all highy intoxicated and verbally abusive to other guests, and at 4am they decided to have a row in the corridor with each other for several minutes waking both of us. 7. The most serious problem i found during my stay was, the TV was unplugged on arrival, when i leaned in behind it and found the lead i attempted to find the socket in the back of the TV. The lead sparked and i received a electric shock in my right hand which was quite painful and i had pins and needles in my hand for some time after. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed more so than the poor facilites and bad staff attitudes.

Thought the hotel was good. Great location, on the main bus route and only a few minutes to the centre of Dublin itself. Has parking on site so that is useful. We would go back again. Rooms were a great size, staff were friendly and helpful. Our only comments in this area are that they are in the middle of renovations and the rooms are a little tired.

The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The spacious room was tidied every day and the bed was very comfortable and large. We also enjoyed the bath very much. Breakfast (served till 11) was very tasty with a broad choice between different types of bread, meats, cheeses, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, sausages, bacon, potatoes, yoghurt with all sorts of nuts and grains and dried fruits, many types of fresh fruits, juices and I'm sure I'm still forgetting some things. Very good start of the day! The Dubliner serves a very good shepherd's pie! And another plus is that the bus into the centre stops right in front of the hotel, even though the centre is also within walking distance. When we come back to Dublin, we will definately book the Ballsbridge again. Everything was above expectations.

The location was perfect for us as we had a specific purpose in mind. The room was nice, warm and we were supplied with extra pillows etc. The staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Dinner was not great for us as it was very badly presented and less food nicely presented would have been much better. The restuarant was quiet at the time and there were delays between servings. The person serving was very nice and did his best but we were very disappointed.

We booked this hotel a week before our trip for 39.50, and on arrival we were shocked to find we had been allocated a suite! Such a shock! Rooms were veery clean but dated and bably in need of redecoration but for 39.50 we were happy. Shame about the staff though! Most of the reception staff were very rude and unhelpful, though there was one foreign lady who was very friendly and smiley, makes such a differance to be served with a smile! The bar staff were ridiculos, my husband and others were left standing at the bar for over ten minutes while one staff member walked up and down the bar ignoring them!!! A joke in the name of service!

It's loication is superb; just a nice distance from mthe City Centre and handy for the Dart. The staff were so kind and helpful. They helped, in no small way, to make the stay so pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble! Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great location close to rugby grounds and local pubs and Rolys bistro.Close enough to walk into city but also remain quiet. Ballsbridge is a great area.Have stayed at hotel before and returned with our two teenage boys who stayed in twin room. Staff allocated them a room opposite ours.
