Location Large room Comfortable bed Clean It was impossible for anyone to get in touch with me from the USA. Several attempts were made and the calls would not transfer to my room. This is a serious concern because there could be an emergency at home and no one would be able to contact me.

Very easy to reach from the airport as the blue coach stops in front of the hotel. Not far from the centre (approx 1 km far from the Trinity College). The rooms are quiet. We were two couples of friends and we booked two rooms. When we arrived, one of them had water flowing from the ceiling and a small vessel was on the floor to collect it . When we told this to the reception, they assigned us a different room, but it seemed they were informed about this problem, so: why did they give us such room??? Moreover, one of the rooms was not cleaned up everyday.

Location is king at this hotel. The hotel was also clean and quiet! Bus stop to town is just outside the door but if you didn't want to leave the hotel all weekend the hotel bar has lots of atmosphere. Arrived at hotel 1 hour before check in and receptionist proceeded to check us in, get us to fill out form etc and then tell us its gonna cost us an extra €10 to book in early. Killed me to pay it but we were in a rush to an appointment, Felt like asking if I got the 10 back if I checked out of hotel at 11 instead of 12, really thought it was the 'ryanair' effect of a cheap hotel room and then pay for the extras to make the price up. Plenty of parking onsite I don't understand why they have to charge. Also this hotel is joined to the other d$ hotel but 10- 20euro extra per night, if location is the only thing you care about then just book into the first d4 hotel. The Towers hotel is more recently decorated this is the only difference I noted. All in all a fine hotel, perfect for rds visits.

Excellent value for what I paid. A huge room with a walk in closet and all the facilities you would need (hairdryer, coffeemaker, iron + board, flatscreen tv). I was there for a wedding in the nearby Berkley Court hotel, so for that the location was excellent. Still quite close to town though, if you don't mind a 15 mins walk. Otherwise there are plenty of busroutes going into the city centre outside the hotel. Staff was nice and helpful.

The quality of fare at the breakfast was poor, no fruit salad, no skimmed milk. The cleanliness and cutlery etc looked tired and absolutely basic. There was the smell of stale beer in reception. The standard of the hotel has fallen, no water in the rooms. It has the look of the Ryan air approach to hotels paying for all extras and even having to pay if you come to checkin earlier than 2pm ridiculous when the game started at 2.30pm. The checkin area was chaos.

Close to RDS. Good receptionist Siobhan. Very dated, paint work shabby. Executive room was 2 single beds pushed together. Musty smell in room. Breakfast was very poor, had to ask 3 times for milk and a side plate. Only fruit available was tinned prunes. No choices only full irish. Staff not friendly. Not a good experience, would not recommend.

I was attending the Dublin Horse Show in the rds so the location of the hotel was excellent from that viewpoint. Staff were unpleasant to the point of being rude. Upon arrival there was not even as much as an "hello" only "have your credit card ready". I had not booked breakfast but had to pay at the time (which was not a problem). I received the incorrect change (by €30) and was challenged on it. When the waiter cashed up he gave me €20, then another 5 when challenged again, and finally the final €5. It felt like he was trying to keep the €30 for himself. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner service was exceptionally poor and we were a full hour waiting to be served. In short I would never again stay or recommend this hotel to anybody.

Windows to room dont fit causing black musty damp and smells which manager said all need to be replaced but no cash. Tiles missing in bathroom..ditto. Meal was a disgrace, same manager said she didnt eat in hotel she went next door to berkley!did get evening meal knocked off bill, plus free breakfast which was cold and inedible anyway with no staff to close covers on bain maries. Also got free carparking.the smell of black damp and smoke and noise from outside I found hard in a four star which like I say manager explained was because windows were all faulty and wouldnt close.

I found the hotel an ideal location for roaming the city of Dublin, easy to find, and close to the main areas of Dublin. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff were very efficient and polite and I will no doubt choose this hotel again when staying in Dublin.

I stayed at hotel with my husband as we were going to a concert at the Aviva stadium. Location was excellent for this purpose. The bedroom was clean but shabby and the toilet seat was broken, which I reported and in fairness it was fixed. The staff could have been friendlier, although the reception staff were better than the rest of the hotel. The service in the restaurant was very slow and breakfast was and I do not like to be harsh because the hotel was busy, but a disaster, the set-up, very disorganised

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. The food was good. It was an ideal location for the Aviva Stadium and the city centre is very accessable from there. As well as the bar which serves food there is another little restaurant that serves food until late which is very handy after a concert if you don't have time to eat before you go. There is also a little supermarket that stays open until 10.30 and they serve breakfast until 11am at weekends. What I didn't like about the hotel was all the queuing. When we went to have dinner we had to queue to be told there was a twenty minute wait which turned out to be fifty minutes. When we came back after the concert we had to queue at the bar. The following morning there was a queue for breakfast. The queue moved quite quickly and the staff were very efficient. But it must be very hard on the them trying to cope with the guests from two hotels converging on the one dining room. The D4 Ballsbridge Towers and the D4 Ballsbridge Inn are combined.

The onsite facilities were fantastic with all needs catered for. The coffee in the café was the best ever. Taxis were parked outside which was very convenient for getting into town. Check-in time was 3pm and check-out was 12pm -> excellent.
