Nice grounds,friendly staff,ideal location
Although hotel had enough guests, the bar was empty by 9-00pm, all up early to catch first ferry or the fact the TV was in in the bar, when some nice background music might have been better
Comfortable place to stay after or before the Rosslare boat. Very good food available in the bar.
Not having hot water in 3 of the 5 rooms we booked. We emailed the hotel, told them we arrive approx 1pm, rooms allocated at 2.30 pm, 3 rooms had no hot water, we were told its because most client do not arrive until 1800 hrs. We were then given various excuses and times for the hot water to be available. It was on approx 1800 hrs. After much discussion the hotel agreed to one room FOC. Rediculos situation, hotel states rooms available from 14.00 hrs but hot water not available until 18.00 hrs.
All the above-noted points
The staff were very friendly and helpful. However they did seem to be under a great deal of pressure and it seemed as if an increase in their numbers would help them to maintain their high standard of care.
it was good value for money with attentive staff.
the hot water wasn't.
Staff very helpful always had a smile nothing was too much trouble Food was excellent
The bed was not very comfortable
Location for Rosslare ferry
Limited air circulation in the room so quite warm
Staff were great
Very noisy at night from other residents
Heating broke down, horrible overpowering smell of plug-in air freshener that didn't go away all night, room really basic.
The location is perfect for somebody who made the pas from Fishgard to Rosselare.
Very welcoming hotel - and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant.
We were too hot at night - the duvet was too heavy for summer weather.
Our third and best visit. Large room with two chairs(why don't all hotel rooms have two?) Good food and service, will use again.
Location was good for ferry, free wifi, staff helpful and friendly
Dinner! Dinner was of poor quality, roast dinner with packet ready made potato, lasagne was ready meal. The rooms need refurbishment, but was clean so was okay, bathroom had stale smell as fan didn't work so seemed a bit stuffy.
The rooms were brilliant, comfortable and clean. The hotel had a very homely feel to it. A great location for the ferry and its close proximity to rosslare and wexford town.
The menu was very disappointing. There was no relaxing area away from the bar.
Comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful see reception staff. Good menu choice Excellent disabled facilities for severe handicap guests.
handy for the ferry
basically a 'road house' - but that's all we needed
Lovely hotel. Room was huge and very comfortable. A good hotel for nearness to ferry at Rosslare. Had a very enjoyable stopover
Hotel was in good location close to Wexford and rosslare. The bar man that was working was very nice nothing any trouble. Food was fantastic both in bar Friday evening and at the wedding
Hotel rooms dated. Fire alarm went off at 7am had everyone up, seemingly the toast had went on fire in the kitchen
Good location, very easy to find. Room was spacious and bright. Reasonably priced.
We stayed 4 nights to attend a 2 day family function having travelled from the North East of England. On 3 occasions there was no hot water to take a bath, including when attempting to get ready for the first function, I had to go out without being able to bath. On the same evening my partner was attempting to dry her hair but the electricity kept tripping out. After several trips down to reception it was eventually resolved. It was not long after this when I went down to report there being no hot water. The receptionist, clearly frustrated with me at this point and making me feel that I was putting her out, uttered something and marched out of reception leaving me standing there not knowing what she wanted me to do. After between 5 & 10 minutes later, another member of staff seen me standing and asked if she could help me. I explained what had happened and she went off to investigate. She returned a short while later saying that the hot water had been drained by another guest and it had been reset (or words to that effect) and I would only have to wait about 15 minutes for it to heat up again. By this time I did not have enough time to wait 15 mins and so left for the family function without having a bath. This happened on a further 2 occasions. Some of the drawers in the room (15) had not been cleaned properly and my partners clothes had dust marks on when she came to take them out to put on. My partner and I regularly stay in hotels around the UK, and as a rule always look for either Premier Inn or Best Western as we know we can depend on a consistent level of cleanliness and comfort, very good value, and friendly staff. On this occasion, our first visit to Ireland, we felt really disappointed and let down. The staff were generally friendly and helpful it was just the occasion I reported the problem with the hot water that I felt uncomfortable with. The hotel is ideally located for future visits to my relations.
Poor water pressure in shower
First impression, was when I saw the poor condition of the flags especially the Irish flag. I felt that I had made a very poor choice in my booking. Had I not prebooked I would have kept on driving. Minimum replacement cost for all four flags. Respect and attract.
Location Friendly staff overall appearance # Food
Staff were friendly but didnt help much with issues we had Breakfast was good but not included in rate
Beds were uncomfortable and seemed worn and old Room was hot and stuffy and we were provided with a useless small fan which is actually a heater so it didn't help at all Family room had a shower only no bath, not great for the baby and toddler even though I booked because the info said bath. Staff were friendly but couldn't resolve any of our issues Expensive for what you get
Staff very attentive Good location for ferry Nice outside play area for children
Room we were in was next to the kitchen so the extractor fan was very noisy also smell of chip fat was unpleasant. Window when opened went out fully so no means to shut it.
