We had a lovely night at Aspect hotel. wish we could have stayed longer. A comfortable bed and clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. On asking their advice, we were directed to Kytlers with directions. We had the best night ever. Thank you. Peter and Linda P.S Great Brekkie too!!

Nice interior in the main entrance area. To be honest it was a overprice travelodge type room. It was in no way a "Superior Double Room" as stated on the booking.com website.

Good value for money. There was a stale smell in room. Room was very cold (I thought air conditioning was on or there was a window open. I would recommend hotel for a weekend away with friends but not for a romantic weekend for couples.

I've already reviewed the hotel following a recent stay two weeks ago in early October. My second experience of the hotel was as positive as my first and I'm planning to stay there again next month. The rates are great value, the staff friendly and efficient and the rooms I've had were large and comfortable. The location in a retail park on the ring road isn't exactly inspiring but you're not paying central Kilkenny prices either so it depends on your priorities.

Very good value for money at €49 for single occupancy of a double superior room including breakfast on a Friday night. Checking in and out was very efficient. Room on first floor was huge and well decorated with furniture and fittings of a higher standard than the usual budget hotel. Bed very comfy. Bathroom (with bath and power shower) was spotless and in good condition. Liked that breakfast was all self-service buffet and there was a reasonable choice of breakfast items. Free newspaper was also nice. Plenty of free parking. While hotel was noisy in the evening, it was quiet at night. Am visiting Kilkenny regulary at the moment for reasons other than tourism so at these rates would definitely stay at the Aspect Hotel again. Location in retail park on the ring road is a bit sterile and maybe not the most convenient if you want to spend your time in central Kilkenny (I didn't). Bathroom was very snug and while bath was a plus it was very short. Open plan dining area/bar ok for breakfast but not very enticing for evening dining.

The room was big and very comfortable. The hotel has a nice modern style. Very good breakfast. In a new commercial area a bit out of town. It's a bit difficult to find... More road sings would be appreciated.

The Aspect was extremely good value for money. The rooms were spotless, large and comfortable. The staff very helpful. This hotel's major drawback is how far it is outside of the town. It's just a bit too far to walk, and so you're reliant on taxis - which are expensive enough, almost Dublin prices. Also there didn't appear to be a thermostat in the room, and so we couldn't control the room temperature - it was very warm.

the breakfast is very good, staff friendly, nice price too. There were a few blokes very loud in the bar ,they had no consideration for other guests, the staff in fairness did not let them continue their awful behaviour,

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The dinner exceeded expectations and was excellent value.I Had a lovely Thai red curry and garlic mushrooms. The staff were friendly and changed our room numbers so our group of friends could be in room next to each other.Overall it was a very pleasant stay and would stay again if in Kilkenny. The room was too hot during the night and there was an unsighthly hole in the wall next to the window (rm 122 I think or 222). The location wasn't really within walking distance of the city (in heels) but taxis into town was only a few euro so it was grand in the end. The breakfast was fine what I would expect for the price.

About 3 star standard, free parking and within walking distance of Kilkenny. Very reasonable rates for the standard of hotel. Fine for a business or overnight stay. Staff very good. They could arrange for a footpath to main road to make town more accessible. Had to climb over fence or go a long way around. Otherwise would need taxi.

Great location, reasonable price, very friendly staff! Our room was on the second floor and unfortunatly our room was beside the elevator. We could hear the elevator in our room from early morning going up and down, it felt as if it was actually in our room and that somebody was loading kegs into it. Would prefer if the glasses in the bathroom were glass and not paper cups!

We liked its location. The cleanliness of the room and surroundings Breakfast was very good and plentiful The bedroom was inadequately heated - chilly No shelving for clothes, and minimal hanging space Evening meal left a lot to be desired. Potatoes and vegetable were very soggy - far too moist and the panga (fish) was sitting in a sea of melted butter - yuck!! - very disappointing
