Loved everything about the Hotel, especially the wonderful staff.Great Rooms, great breakfast, beautiful grounds. We do not play Golf but this did not matter as the Hotel caters for everyone, families, couples, etc.The courtesy Bus was a great asset if you didnt wih to walk into the village the bus would drop you off and pick you up until 10-30pm. Great value for money hotel and we will be returning again this year.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was Gorgeous. Beautiful grounds. A little far out but the fact that the hotel offer free shuttle bus, it wasnt a problem at all! Dropped us straight into Howth Village when we requested it. Hotel decor is very dated but room was clean and comfortable with lovely view. Swimming pool and gym were great to have. Would definetely stay here again. Breakfast wasnt amazing, but for 5euro extra-cant really complain

The location, the view, the courtesy bus to Howth The layout, the hotel sprawls and every new location (dining room, bar, pool etc.) meant a journey involving climbing and descending stairs.

Great location, good views. Building and decor rather shabby and unattractive. Needs a refurbishment. Really only the location to recommend it, or ok if all you want to do is play golf.

Good bar and breakfast The rooms were dirty, I found 3 inch spiders crawling outside our door. We checked in on Friday for a three night stay and left on Saturday because the boiler went out and there was no heat or hot water. Very dated.carpets were old and smelled. Supposed to be non smoking but reeked of smoke..overall an awful experience.would never recommend it. Wi fi only worked by front desk..

The location near Houth. It is in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The facilities are very inferior to its setting. They need to tear down the hotel and build a beautiful, charming and luxurious hotel on that location.

It was not expensive but you can not charge much for such an old fashioned hotel, the sockets in room where round so there was no where to charge my phone or lap

Positives: Scenery, tranquility, personal approach & lovely staff. Extremely comfortable beds. Courtesy coach provided by hotel into Howth, which was a nice touch. Slightly on the expensive side - should get some type of package deals going to encourage families. Grounds fabulous but would strongly recommend walk areas for families and enclosed play facilities for children - maybe reducing golfing area at the front of the hotel. Some of the public areas require decor attention but overall, we had a lovely stay & would gladly go back.

The location and view were by far the best features of this hotel. The bar menu and the restaurant menu are the same menu thus limiting choice. We were seated for dinner at 8.45 and by 10pm our food still wasnt at the table (we were offered free dessert and tea/coffee, which in themselves were tiny) had we been advised of the time delay (small dining room only serving a large party and 4 other tables so not as though the place was packed) we would have headed to the seafront for dinner. Very very disappointed by this. However the worst by far was the breakfast. €21.00 for a tea, a coffee, cold toast, a small bowl of fruit and a breakfast consisting of tiny sausages, mushroom, rubber/fatty bacon and scrambled egg which wasnt cooked through as huge lumps of uncooked yolk and black lumps!!!??? The room itself was spacious but was obvious someone else had previously moved rooms and we were lumbered with the disabled room, wonderful facility for those in need but we did not appreciate the shower head hung from the wall too low to stand beneath and a wet room floor! I was horribly disappointed with our stay there and would not return or ever recommend to anyone.

After reading some of the reviews we were not sure what to expect from the Deer Park Hotel, but we were more than happy with our stay. The hotel is in a very quiet location and we were delighted to be given a room with a fabulous view of the sea and Howth harbour. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. We also used the pool which was a great facility. We will definitely stay here again. Our only complaint was that there were insufficient staff in the busy bar on the evening we stayed as we had to wait 20 minutes to be served with a drink.
